I’m hoping Solari will work out for 3 reasons:

1. He’s basically a run specialist coach, and we could use a bit of a boost in that arena. I expect 0 improvement in pass protection because he has no record of that in his entire career. I trust the O-Line will ignore pass pro guidance

2. The Tex coast offense should have Dak holding the ball for much less time. This should artificially ‘improve’ pass protection

3. Since we will still do a lot play action and (please Lord) actually run screens this year, those plays will also benefit from run blocking improvements

Don’t expect Dak to be comfy in the pocket all year, but I think offensive scheme changes align with the Solari hire
I do wonder how much McCarthy's "tweaks" to the scheme will help with pass blocking. Getting the ball out quicker, swinging it to running backs or screening to them all slow down the pass rush. Obviously, you need good pass protection from the linemen, but there are a lot of things that can help them not have to hold their blocks as long or make the defense hesitant to pin their ears back.

I still want both Smith and Martin at guards for this offense!

McKeon will be cut (and put on the practice squad) because Mike McCarthy is a FB guy and he got one he likes in Hunter Luepke.
Does Mac have a John Kuhn typr blocker .. or a big RB whose biggest knock going into the NFL draft is blocking and he's really more big RB than a FB ?

And Mac also has always been big on number of TEs ...

if anything I could see da Big going with just 4 RBs .. which includes the big RB Hunter Loop (pollard, Jones, Deuce, Hunter) . ..vs than just 3 TEs.
And McKeon has been used as both TE and H-back/FB in the backfield.

Imo, Malik Davis remains on the red hot seat to make the cut.

Don't sleep on Princeton Fant.

Imo, .Fant would have to take the entire camp and preseason by storm and really wow impressed the entire organization to where they would be forced to make very tough decisions
that makes it a must to keep Fant.

Frankly Fant is gonna have to sheer Shannon Sharpe this entire camp. to where he affects the TE and RB numbers, imo.

But at only 6'1 ... I'd see Fant more as a H-back type, who can catch, run the ball occasionally.(per goal line spots) and even throw the ball ..
At this time, I'm not aware of his blocking skills,
