New Cowboy Broderick Jones Is A Lot Better Than People Think | Film Review

Jones is going to be a much better player a year from now, and I think some people are going to look pretty silly for writing him off already.

The Cowboys have better coaching, better development, and a better environment around him. Give them a year to work with him and get him ready, and I think you're going to see a significantly better player.

And yes, I agree with the video. He's better than most people think. The funniest part is how much people are complaining about the move when the Cowboys barely gave anything up to get him.

Put it this way: if Dallas had moved up half a round and surrendered a 6th-round pick, they probably still wouldn't have been able to draft a tackle this good. That's how little this cost.

So I'll gladly take the guy with the upside and let the Cowboys develop him. A year from now, I think we'll be talking about how good this move was while some of the people criticizing it today will be pretending they liked it all along.
Actually the cost is closer to a late third or early 4th. But if he can start, it is well worth it.

I finally got a chance to ask my steelers fan neighbor how bad Jones was since I wanted to have the conversation in person. His answer was one word: "horrible". He said it seemed like it was all in his head. He just would look so poorly on certain plays like he wasn't even present and just took the play off. He still couldn't believe they got that much back for him in a trade.

Yeah, I don't think Pittsburgh is an idiot franchise that you can fleece out of a good player like some. Yes, Pickens has worked so far, but that doesn't mean it'll work every time, and Pickens' position is very dependent on QB play where OT isn't. I personally think Mike is a good, solid coach who knows what he's doing, and it looks like he thinks this guy can't play.

This may work out because Steele is a low bar, but I don't think we're getting some really good player for a song.
It the Steelers had drafted Makai Lemon then they wouldn't have traded Jones. But since he wasn't available they drafted Max Iheanachor when they already had Fautanu & Jones drafted in the first round.

Several people talked about how he was going to concentrate on RT which they felt was the better fit for him.

Drink 'dat bottle of shut up juice
Aren't you one of the guys that were telling me that there was no problems with Tyler Smith And I tried to tell you they're lying right now it has nothing to do with his thumb It's his knee he has severe tendonitis in his knee and I tried to warn you he will not be the left tackle of the future because he can't move and now he's not playing for 4 to six weeks would you like to thank me apologize to me because I'm telling you I know things

Ya that’s sad bro just writes paragraph after paragraph and offers little to no substance. Now he’s threatening ppl get him outta here.
You know what's really funny I bet you guys are shocked to hear Tyler Smith might miss the 4 to 6 weeks it has nothing to do with his thumb but go read what I said before that that triggered this I told you he has severe tendonitis in one of his knees he's been dealing with for two years now and nobody listened I try to tell you he was not gonna be the left tackle I told Mr Canada Mr Alberta that he has problems with his knees and now they're lying about why he's missing time he did not get a mysterious thumb injury recently that nobody knew about It was always his knee he has tendonitis in his knee don't ask me how I know I got inside information bye bye.

Good gracious
I want you to take a really really slow time gathering what I actually was talking about to the actually guy I was talking about who told me for a fact that Tyler Smith was gonna be the swing laugh tackle because we weren't going to have a swing left tackle And I told him he was crazy because why I said Tyler Smith was injured not real real injury it's called tendonitis it's severe tendonitis in one of his knees and now there's a new post tell me how his thumb just got injured out of the blue he hasn't really been practicing he didn't play in preseason now he has a thumb injury that mysteriously needs surgery a week before the season starts..

I want to ask yourself maybe you didn't want to read my post because it was too long for you to comprehend but maybe I was correct it's not as dumb he has been dealing with severe tendonitis in the knee they've been trying to cover it up and that's why he will never be the left tackle but he also is not even starting the damn year at left guard you want to call me out now or am I calling you out tell Mr Whoever I was dealing with it's not about how short or long your post is it's about how accurate and factual the information I provided actually was if you want to apologize let me know..

It's not like I'm happy I'm right That has nothing to do with this thumb tyler Smith has been dealing with a severe tendonitis in his knee I tried to tell the other dude that and you're saying oh good gracious I must say too much but maybe we're in here to provide actual information and I've been paying attention to the Cowboys since 1981 and I happen to remember that since the beginning of last year Tyler Smith's dealing with tendonitis severe tendonitis in his knee and he will never be the left tackle again and now he won't even play left guard please allow me They gave you the space and time you need to think about your statement the fact that I was trying to talk to the other guy who said I'm wrong and I'm ******** right I don't like being right but now we don't have our great left guard he won't be a great left tackle because he won't play for the next damn month but thank you for playing social media games..

Or you can't handle starting a hot debate and you're the one who's overly sensitive don't try to limit what I say or don't say because you only have the ability to use two words and not complete a sentence and I should do the same my responses should only equal exactly what others post it I should count the characters and make sure I'm in line and don't overdo it because you said so? lmao umm ok

Sure got a ton of starts for such a horrible player.

“Moved up half a round”? We gave them our 3rd and 6th. They gave us their 4th. Draft slots haven’t been determined yet, so trying to minimize the cost to support the trade is weak sauce.

When we sit on our hands for the entire third round and watch good players get scooped up, I doubt you will feel great about this trade

2027 is set to be the deepest draft in years, and our cupboard is looking pretty bare.

If Jones pans out, I will give you your props. A starting OT is more valuable than a 3rd round pick.

But if he turns out to be what he has shown himself to be since coming into the league, we just shorted ourselves in a big way in a deep draft and still have issues at OT
We have an old quarterback who's aging poorly, and an owner who's in his mid 80s.

It's win now.

I think we paid to high of a price for him especially for a guy in the last year of his contract coming off an injury
