Anyone know where I can find some artist renderings of the new stadium? I remember the Cowboys had a video on their website sometime ago with a fly over anumation and such but I haven't seen anything lately on the final plans.

There is nothing yet that I know of... that was just a preliminary wish...

Here is what I have from that, but the actual stadium may look quite different when finished...

I thought they started the construction already. Isn't that right? They are to be in the stadium in 2008 aren't they?

Yeah, but nothing has been released yet as far as the final plans... at least not to my knowledge...

They know a few things that will occur no matter what. Right now they are clearing land and digging for the field...

Yeah last I knew they were almost complete with the bowl portion of digging. Something like 20 trucks an hour hauling dirt away. I was down by that way a few weeks ago. But it was dark, and black tarps over the fence. I will try to get down that way this weekend and see if I can pull over and see anything. See if anything is worth taking pictures of. I'll need to time it around the Rangers game. Because when I was down that way, and edcided to go by, forgot the Rangers were playing. Now I didn't get stuck in traffic as the game was early, but they had road blocks because of the parking and after game traffic to set up for. Had to go around the area I really wanted to go by and could not get a better view.

Last comments I heard from Jerry, or maybe Stephen. All the plans and final appearance have not bee finalized, as it will be a work in progress. That was maybe a month ago or so.

But from the land cleared...it will be massive. And it's to be open the 2009 season I believe.

I know it's early, but has anything been said about seating capacity for regular season games (advertised now @+75,000, w/special events expandable end zones up to 92,000)? Just out of morbid curiosity, wondered if Jerry might play some 'oneupsmanship' with Snyder; Commanders FedEx seats 90,000 since last season's expansion, IIRC.:laugh2:

Looks like the parking problems will be just as ridiculous as the old stadium. Arlington is a mess after the Ranger games. The Cowboys games will be even worse. Hopefully there will be some road widening going on.

Those shots would suggest they definitely know what the stadium will look like already. The shape they have cut out of the ground is pretty clearly defined.

Imagine what it'll be like in September. You could have Cowboys traffic, Ranger's traffic, Six Flags traffic, and Hurricane Harbor traffic all at the same time. Might as well walk back to Dallas.

They have plans to widen roads to aleviate traffice problems. I never thought the traffic after Rangers games was really all that bad.

Thanks for all the info. That site looks HUGE! I wonder if they still plan on the Cowboys HOF and the Cowboys Hotel? This should be a showplace!

The question is where should I get my house built when I reire down there? How is the Arlington area? I been to the Ft. Wort area and was looking at houses by their practice field. Can someone tell me the good areas to move to in Texas?
