My quick take. I like all the broadcasters and colour commentators to be honest. My favourite is Kevin Harlan. I don't particularly like the Nantz/Romo style of commentary, just too much talking.

Using the term "demon" in that complimentary way goes back way before Madden...and way, way before Twitch.

It's like a guy is a monster, a force of nature, etc. More than human, a destroyer of the opponent.

Sporting teams have been named this way for forever, The Duke Blue Devils, Depaul Blue Demons etc.

Always been a fan of Burkhardt - but I'm also biased because I always heard him on SNY being the Mets field reporter and a fill-in guy.

Seems like a genuinely good dude and I think he calls a simple clean NFL game.

I liked what Burkhardt said about the fans liking them more this week, that's was funny. I don't think Olsen had a lot of experience with Cowboys fans and the blame game when they lose. Damnit, someone is going to pay!!!!

In Aikman's defense, when Buck is doing baseball and he has Kevin Burkhardt as his play by play partner, he is a lot better. Burkhardt has a good understanding of the color guy's role.

Buck steals some of the color analyst's job and tries to use them more as an affirmation of his insight. His ego is far too involved in that job, even that "Hall Of Famer Troy Aikman" overused line is about him being important enough to have a HOFer in his booth and he needs to remind everyone.

He still talks off mic and gets buried in the ambient crowd noise, he doe not have a good broadcaster voice. You should not have to try and listen, you should just hear.

That is one of the advantages that guys like Buck, Michaels and Burkhardt have, their voices cut through and Tony's gets buried. Brad Nussler is good too.

Joe Tessitore as well but he gets so dramatic, he makes me laugh a lot. He reminds me of the actor that played the news anchor in that "Godzilla" movie with Matthew Broderick.

I can't begin to tell you how impressed I am with Greg Olson...I would take him and whats his face ANYDAY over Troy and Frankenstein head. Cannot believe that its his first year in the booth....he is flawless.

Yeah, he’s doing a fantastic job. Not bias but fair and his knowledge of the game and the players makes him one of the best. Would love to see him on MNF as they are just horrible.
