Did they assign numbers to our FA pick-ups? I know Carr wore 39 last year in KC, just wondering if he will keep the same in Dallas.

Yes, Brandon Carr will keep Jersey Number 39 with the Cowboys. Here was a thread on the topic, a couple weeks back:

I like 39. It's unique. Not many use it. I agree on 36 and 46. No problem with 49.

I hate 5, 13, 14, 34, and 69.

I think 28 is becoming way overused among running backs, too.

Since it was first announced Dan Connor would wear #56, but now listed as #52 on the Team Roster, I took it to mean the Cowboys decided to hedge their bet by not releasing James yet. Why, I'm not sure? Like you, I'm of the opinion BJ will be a goner.
