New HGH test emerges

Barry Bonds was using anabolic steroids, not growth hormones.

Wrong. They picked up his doping calender and it had him scheduled for a whole performance enhancing procedure. HGH, Clear, insulin, steroids, the works.

If I were you. I'd check out Game of Shadows. Great book. Very revealing. After I read it I just grew to hate Barry Bonds as it revealed that he's such an ******* when he's away from the cameras. In addition to being a dirty, rotten cheater.

edit: I grew to hate him after reading Love Me, Hate Me. Another book on Barry which focused more on his life and career.

No need. I hated Barry Bonds his entire career and Hank Aaron is still the home run king.

HGH, however, was hardly the reason for his startling muscle growth. In fact, HGH doesn't really do much of anything - lots of conflicting reports out there about what it does and what it doesn't do.

My guess would be that most people that are "caught" doing HGH are probably doing a cocktail of other drugs out there that testing hasn't caught up with yet.

That doesn't make sense. HGH is secreted naturally during stage 3/4 sleep (up until early 30s). It's purposes are to help recover the body physically. Not just huge injuries, but aches and muscle fatigue. So if a person takes additional HGH they are increasing their physical recovery. They are able to work out harder and get stronger. They are at a huge advantage no matter the age. There are just more benefits for older players since they can keep up with the young.

There is a point of diminishing returns with HGH. Just because you exponentially raised your growth hormone does not mean you will get exponential benefits.

:bang2: HGH does nothing? :bang2:

If you get caught with HGH in your pee, your taking it wrong. No way HGH, taken correctly, is detected in your pee.

HGH makes your muscles recover quicker so you can work out harder. You can focus your workouts to certain regions.

Overtime Sunday game followed by a short Thursday game? No problem.... The body can recover quicker.

If you take it with other substances you can get stronger faster. Since there is no need for muscle downtime between workouts.

Yes, but what if you constantly take a 'daily' dose, you will keep your body rejuvenated. Treat it like a daily vitamin/supplement/protein shake as opposed to an energy drink.

In my personal opinion, HGH should be bought and traded freely because it has no dangerous side effects. Imagine being able to increase your metabolism, have a thicker head of hair, stronger bone density, and thicker, younger looking skin!

In my opinion, if a substance is banned by the NFL it should be tested for. I could care less about the side effects or legality of said substance. If the NFL says its banned, perhaps they should test for it. Otherwise, they should let it be and allow all to use it.

None of these things are given to you by HGH. If you want a better metabolism, eat well and exercise. If you want thicker hair - build a time machine. Younger looking skin - dont smoke and don't be out in the sun too long. I don't know how those things would be given to you magically if you took HGH.

You forgot to mention how it can increase my manlihood, and make me shoot fireballs from my eyes and lightning from my arse. For the low price of 5 easy payments of $19.99.

First you say "HGH doesn't really do much of anything", now you list all positive HGH traits. I really cant follow.

Are you a doctor? A chemist? I don't really understand why you're so fundametally against something you don't even understand. And yes, HGH does do a lot of those things. My father is on HRT therapy, is given HGH, and has reported a lot of those same attributes to me. I would advise you do more research on the compound because you honestly do not know what you are talking about.

HGH has a lot of health benefits, a lot of what it does was outlined by casmith above. It's not a muscle builder. It's not a steroid. It's a general health therapy for older men or someone in the midst of extensive rehabilitation.

Oh I agree too - if it's banned, it should be tested for and punished accordingly. People claim marijuana isn't all bad but it's still illegal and should be treated as such.

I'm just saying on a PERSONAL note, from all I've read, the only apparent effects of HGH are cosmetic and maybe a little bit athletically for injury/muscle recovery. It's like a glorified whey protein, it seems. You're not reading of shrinking genitalia, back acne, joint breakdown, and HGH-rage from people using it, because those kinds of things don't exist.

It's not really possible to "abuse" a naturally occurring hormone, I suppose.

Repair. As in muscle memory when coming off injury. A guy in his late 20's, early 30's taking HGH that does not have a serious injury and is not doing extensive rehabilitation will not see any additional benefit of HGH supplementation.

Not positive but I thought the reason you get sore after a workout is because the muscle has been "torn" to some degree. The filaments have been stretched beyond their natural limits and have slightly torn.

Therefore, if you are using anything that speeds up the recovery of damaged tissue on any level, you're cheating.

In the situation you describe, is there not a combination of drugs taken- not just HGH- which could possibly result in the appearance of those attributes by your father... But don't let my theories soil the second hand research performed on a sample size of one. Clearly that qualifies you more than me.

I think some of the claims mentioned are nothing more than marketing by some websites/scammers into try to lure people into buying a miracle cure all. What I am certain of is it helps restore the body physically and allows a person to feel more refreshed and relaxed with less sleep. A problem which plaques us all as we age.

The fact is that the NFL players should be tested for HGH or the substance should be UNBANNED. The clean players are punished because they want to follow the rules, while the dirty players get an advantage because there is no real testing. If the league wants to ban something they should do it and test for it. You cant test for it in pee, so do a proper blood test. Otherwise let the clean players take it too if its so much sunshine, lollipops, and rainbows...

HGH significantly reduces body fat and increases lean muscle mass tremendously, especially for athletes in their 20s and 30s.

Less body fat, more lean muscle mass: unfair, competitive advantage

You are wrong. And no Hypno, oral administration of HGH will have no effect on a user. Intramural HGH will have a pronounced effect on someone with declining HGH levels, ie: someone in their late 40's and on. Don't let tens of years of medical practice and case studies soil your personal uneducated theories.

Edit: My father's neurologist in North Park, Dallas has personally treated several Cowboys/Rangers players with the same type of HRT(retired of course). You should contact him and tell him how ineffective HGH treatment is, I'm sure you are more than qualified.

You are wrong. HGH can reduce body fat at numerous, different ages. I know professional wrestlers that have taken it and they literally were at around 5% body fat. HGH won't increase your muscular strength, but usually athletes stack HGH with a steroid(s) in order to lose body fat, while gaining strength at the same time. The less body fat you have, the less weight you have to carry around and this is an unfair advantage.

Blood tests are much more invasive, and probably exist on a different legal plan than urine samples. Not cut and dried that the league can easily mandate such tests.

Interesting info though. I did not know much about HGH or its use.

It wasn't the HGH. It was the testosterone base and numerous other compounds he was putting in his body that allowed him to do that.

Who is he? And allowed him to do what?

dude, gmoney, players don't take HGH to improve their life expectancy. They use it as a supplement to work out. If it doesn't do anything, why are they taking it?
