New Jets/Giants Stadium *Merge*

It looks like Fed Ex field with a glass exterior. And anyone who's been to Fed Ex knows that is not good.

I think it looks pretty nice but its just a larger version of a typical stadium. I don't really see anything unique. The cost may be high due to land values. Plus, I cant believe they wouldn't put a retractable roof on it so they could host a superbowl. You know the league would love to have it in New York. I know the stadium is in New Jersey but most events could be across the river.

it really doesnt look THAT nice, compared to the newer stadiums. I mean....the new cardinal stadium looks nicer than that. Ours definately does

Just think, they split the cost between two teams and the city and they still couldn't top us.

I like it, but then again I hate any sort of domed stadium.

I hope with ours Jerry only closes the roof during the Superbowl and never again. Let the men play in the elements.

Would you say that if you were in the stadium when it's 100 outside and 120 inside? :D

I see the artist depiction forgot the Manhattan skyline or is that to be demolished to make way for a pair of mediocre football clubs that normally play in Jersey?

Land values can't be all that much different, as the existing Meadowlands is built on a landfill.

The difference will be the lack of Jimmy Hoffa looking down from the pillar in the corner of the end zone.

They New York Giants/Jets are set to open up the new stadium in 2010, I was just wondering how their new stadium will stack up against ours....Theirs will cost 1.3 billion, how much was ours again?

I think one of the main factors in costs will be that the New Meadowlands will be exclusively union contract construction while our new stadium is being built in a right-to-work state (non-union).

I like the fact that it's open air but otherwise not too impressed.

I was about to say... I thought they were going to build a stadium in Manhattan. I guess that fell through. The logistics of doing that in such a congested area were probably too much.
