Tackle may not be a position of need but would you pass on a tackle like Gosder Cherilus with the 28th pick?

Dallas should be able to get a CB with their pick at 22 but Cherilus would be hard to pass up if the top three running backs (Stewart, McFadden, and Mendenhall) are gone as well as receivers like Jackson, Kelly, and Manningham.
I'd pass on Cherilus with Free on the roster. Personally I think Free was a much better prospect coming out of college and he already has a year in the NFL.

Understood.

I just go by the approach that you cannot have too many good offensive and defensive linemen. Look at the Giants and all the talent they have stockpiled on the d-line.

One more time, the Cowboys won't spend a first round pick on a backup RB to share time with MBIII.
Unless we bring in a vet, we almost half to. I completely understand what you are saying. But IMO the RB position has the worst depth of any on this team. Should MB3 go down, who tokes the rock?

After watching the College Skills challenge, I'd take J Charles in the 2nd and spend our 1st on CB and WR.

A small point that people are missing here is that, Antonio Cromartie played for Florida State. He played against some of the most powerful offenses in college for his whole career and he was very Good. His younger cousin is playing off the name his cousin built for him. If you think he is first round talent because of what his cousin did, your bumping your head again. He may be good but he isn't 1st round good. That being said, someone will take him in the 1st. I just hope we aren't that stupid. :banghead:

Guess guys from small schools have no chance of making it....I mean what did Terrell Owens, Larry Allen, Jerry Rice, Tony Romo, Marques Colston, Charles Tillman, Demarcus Ware, Osi Umenyiora etc, ever do in the league???
Cromartie will be a very good player in the pros....as good as his cousin maybe, maybe not...but he will be good.

I agree, which is why I like Carl Nicks (6'5 330lbs) in the third and finding a nose tackle somewhere in this draft.

I like CB and WR in the first and taking Jamaal Charles in the second.

With the RBs in this draft I think we get a great compliment to Barber whether we take one in the 1st or 2nd. I see CB as the priority with a young WR second... but if Stanback is the real deal WR and RB could trade places for me. WR in the 2nd and RB in the 1st.

We have to draft a CB in the first round. I do not know about WR/Cb as another first-round draftee though. Most of first round Wrs are busts and you do not spend a No.1 on a RB when you have a pro-bowl RB. It would be fasano II.

There are two options for our other No.1.
1) trade for a YOUNG and proven stud, WR or CB.
2) Trade away for future picks (such as a No.2 this year and a No.1 next year)

I'd rather take a guard in the 3rd. We've got a lot of young potential on the roster at tackle.

Yeah, I agree. Unless Adams goes of course. But if Adams is still here, I doubt we'll draft an OT period.

This doesn't have any relevance to the Dallas draft, but....

Makes you wonder about steroid use. You just don't typically get arms that big naturally.

He's got the kind of veins Keith Richards would kill for.

Speak for yourself man... speak for your self...

(flexin' the biceps)

I'm expecting a corner/WR to come out of the first, (if we keep both 1st rdrs which is highly doubtful)

how are the peashooters working for ya? :D

Jerry said his top priority is getting a "Wow" playmaker on offense this offseason at a skill position. He's not looking for just a nice solid guy to "compliment" to Barber. He's looking for electricity and a playmarker. The top tier WR's in this draft are lackluster at best (I would jump off a building if my team drafted Desean Jackson #11).

Some of your guys are getting are getting way too caught up filling holes with pegs looking to fill "need" positions with bodies. This leads to completely idiotic justification for why we "need" Bobby Carpenter. "We already got a Demarcus Ware, we don't need two of them. We need to find someone that 'compliments' Ware".

Ugh, No. Actually, we do need two Wares. Actually, we could use three or four.
