I hope!
After I got some other advise or suggestions so to speak about Desean Jackson, I realized we're probably better off going for Dexter Jackson in late 3rd round to be our slot SPEED guy I want so bad, this involves one trade.

I keep hearing a 7th rounder for Pacman, but who knows how true, but for this mock, a 7th for Pacman it is!

#22 W.R. Roy Williams, O.K., to please those who don't think he's available, Chad Johnson, LOL, O.K., if he's not gonna happen either, we simply go with a future #1 W.R. and that would have to be either Limas Sweed or James Hardy or eve Devin Thomas.

We trade our #28 and our 2nd rounder with the Falcons for their two 2nd rounders #37 and #48, works out perfect on trade value chart.

#37 C.B. Justin King (even with Pacman, he'll be yet another C.B. we would still need and a great abckup plan to pacman AND perfect next year if we get rid of Henry.

#48 R.B. Jamaal Charles (could substitute Chris Johnson if you wish), but we definately go R.B. at this spot.

3rd round: W.R. Dexter Jackson, gives us a SPEED threat in the slot to replace Glenn.

4th Round: F.S./S.S. Bobbie Williams Ball Hawk and Big Hitter, perfect replacement for Keith Davis with starting potential unlike Davis.

5th round: D.T. Jason Shirley 6'-5 330 ran sub 5.0 NUFF SAID!

6th round: C./G. Fernand Velasco We need a backup to Gurode and he plays Center and Guard.

7th Round: C.B. Pacman Jones Could be a steal if he plays to potential, but we will have Justin King just in case.

Total Haul

OFFENSE:
R.B. Jamaal Charles
W.R. Limas Sweed
W.R. Dexter Jackson
C./G. Fernand Velasco

Adds some WOW to our offense no doubt plus gives us a versatile backup lineman for Gurode which we need also.

DEFENSE:

C.B. Pacman Jones
C.B. Justin King
F.S./S.S. Bobbie Williams
D.T. Jason Shirley

Add 3 playmakers to our secondary, just what we needed to add, plus a monster D.T. who runs like the wind.
Come on now, did I please everyone??
Or come close?
If this is how the draft came out, there's NO WAY anyone could complain, at least IMO!

Don't mind the offensive selection/trades if we are talking Roy Williams...however none of the wr's in this class are worth the pick now in my opinion. On defense, no real complaints outside of relying on Justin King if PacMan can't stay out of the clubs...King is severly lacking in the confidence area and that scares the bejezus out of me.

now this is a better mock draft, although i doubt they draft two wideouts with TO, Glenn, Patrick, Hurd, Austin, and Stanback already on board. Unless they plan on dropping Glen, at this point its hard to say.

Yeah I have Glenn retiring, plus I'm really not high on Austin either, just straight ahead speed and no moves or anything, doesn't impress me at all.
Plus I REALLY LOVE Jackson's speed and playmaking ability.
I could see this as our W.R. core in 08'.

W.R. Terrell Owens
W.R. Limas Sweed
W.R. Patrick Crayton
W.R. Sam Hurd

FOUR BIG GUYS

W.R. Dexter Jackson
W.R. Isaiah Stanback

TWO SPEED GUYS!

But IMO he has the most upside.
He's such a great physical speciman and runs like the wind, plus he'll be our 4th C.B. and if Pacman screws up (which I honestly can't see knowing this will ABSOLUTELY be his last chance) King will then only be our 3rd C.B. and an unconfident Justin King is a lot better then a confident Reeves. LOL

I like it..I really like Dexter Jackson. Before the Pac Man stuff sounded likely I really wanted him, if for no other reason than I want a threat at PR. But with all the WR's we have on the roster and getting another in a trade or 1st round pick almost seems like a waste especially when he wouldn't be returning punts over Pac Man. So if he doesn't make it into the crowded rotation as a rookie you'll have a 3rd rounder that wouldn't have a reason to be activated for games. But if he's there in the third round heck I guess I couldn't pass him up.

You picked the WR and running back I'd take too in those parts of the draft. I don't think any of those receivers are worth 22 but under your trade scenarios that's what we'd need to take unless one of the top CB's was there. In that case Hardy could possibly still be there at 37. My top two WR's though right now would be Sweed and Thomas as a think they have a little more burst than Hardy.

Also like you picking up a NT... I'd love to have Tank and a rookie be able to hold down the NT spot allowing Ratliff to move to DE.

I'm not a big fan of King, but the UT guys will love this draft with two Longhorns ending up on the Cowboys.

Really not to fond of the Charles pick. If MB3 misses some time because of injury is Charles a RB that can pick up the blitz and read the blitz packages?

I don't really have an alternative at this slot but I have concerns with Charles and I bet Romo would too.

All I know is he could carry the load if Barber gets hurt and our offense shouldn't skip a beat, that's what I'm drafting him for, not his blocking ability on 3rd down, we have 3rd down backs for that and could even use Fasano in that role if need be.
No matter who we pick, most are gonna have trouble in the blitz pickups anyway, whether it's Chris Johnson, Charles, Felix Jones, etc.

Actually, that is what i like about it. I personally feel that Charles is going to be an excellent back. (and no, i dont like UT) He is still learning the position. He is blazing fast, has excellent vision, can make guys miss, and can shed tacklers. Blitz pick up can be taught, and this kid can improve, he has shown that.

I dont think we need to go rb in the 1st. And I dont think Jamal will be there at 61, so this is an interesting way to do it. I could really see Jerry moving out of that 28. Would like to dream that we could get Reggie Smith (like his versatility...safety/cb) and Jamal with those 2 2nd rders.

Yeah I'd ;love Charles and Smith with both our 2nd's, don't think Smith lasts that long, but it's not out of the realm of possibility.

Yeah, i wouldnt either, but it just seems like he has zero momentum, and if anything, keeps sliding down on draft sites. Course, all it takes is one team who likes him. Its funny, but i dont remember seeing him at all on the cowboys ch 11 "draft board."

I hope they teach him better than they taught Tyson Thompson.

Your mock draft falls a wee bit short of pleasing everyone, pal, because in order to please me, you'd have to include Limas Sweed in the first, Jamaal Charles in the second, Frank Otam in the third, Marcus Griffin in the fourth, and whatever other Horns might be available in the later rounds...

Okam is more of a 4th rounder, and Griffin is a 7th rounder at BEST!
And I did have Limas sweed in round 1.

If you look at the players he named and then do the math as to what college they went to and ask yourself why he added the smiley you might, might I say, come to the conclusion that he was jerking your chain.

I mean, if you really wanted to hear the truth and all.
