New Rowdy

We should probably check to make sure the new Rowdy costume is fire retardant. You know, for safety.

...kill it before it reaches the children!

I wish Jerry would license with Warner Bros. for "Yosemite Sam" .. In my mind the early days of the Texas Rangers they in fact did for a year or so have the Yosemite Sam mascot (a marketing deal with Six Flags back then). A year or two before it was "Rootin Tootin Ranger" and he was not a very good mascot but maybe the last year it looked like Yosemite Sam. .. In my memory, not sure it was true .. Pix I see on the Web I see the idiotic looking "Rooting Tooting Ranger," not the "Yosemite Sam" looking one ...

Texas Tech already co-opted Yosemite Sam:

I could have sworn I seen the original rowdy coming out of the tunnel with the cheerleaders right befor the start of the game.
Could there be 2 of them....

I was there and I'm not sure I noticed something was different with Rowdy but wasn't too concerned at the time to put a finger on it.

Yeah, I was there too. I noticed it when they had the birthday celebration or whatever it was for Rowdy. Where the other mascots came out to midfield. I don't know if they showed that on TV. And I still don't know what it was for exactly.

Our mascot's face needs to look more like John Wayne, and less like Kip (home of "the Big Boy").

Our mascot should look exactly like the old Cowboys logo with the caricature riding the horse.

The real question is, did the person wearing the mascot outfit change because I remember for a few years before I totally blocked him out the mascot was acting like an idiot and trying to get involved in endzone celebration or in other places where he shouldn't be and just kind of seemed like he was acting like the annoying kid in the room instead of being a general mascot helping root for the team and get fans involved.

Probably the same guy.
