New sound system

Man alive! I just recieved a new BOSE Acoustic Wave II sound system and it blows me away!

I got it with the iPod stand also...

For something as small (and expensive) it is a remarkable sound that comes out from it.

I replaced a large kenwood surround system with this and the upgrade is amazing.

Anyone else have a BOSE system of any sort?

Good to know. I'm buying a new home and getting rid of my big component system and gonna go with the Wave II.

I have never heard that one before, but the one I just got is crazy good!

Also, with the one I just got came with free $179.00 BOSE earphones.

Good to know. I'm buying a new home and getting rid of my big component system and gonna go with the Wave II.

Go to the bose.com/hear and read the technology of how the Wave II is put togeather to make the sound that comes from it. I can see how the sound is produced from such a small box......

There is also a free trial period, however, I doubt that you will want to send it back.

my dad used to have a boss sound system for his '92 Benz, I got to drive it around one summer before he sold it

Bose isn't bad in lieu of a full system. It might be good for my mom since she wouldn't want the hassle of intalling rear speakers, but I highly doubt she'd be willing to pay that much.

BOSE sucks. People can put together a system that delivers comparable sound quality for a MUCH lower pricetag. You won't find anyone that is halfway serious about audio pimpin' BOSE.

Ya they are awsome in cars. You don't even needs subs or anything. I don't think they install Bose in cars though which sucks. If they even do it's probably super expensive. Bose was the selling point when I bought my Titan.

Yeah, it's expensive...but mine is not a car system (maybe I need to get one )


Another thing I like about this system...with my Kenwood system, I had big, little, middle, and a front speaker system...with all those wires! Then I had to manually adjust all that stuff...

With this Bose system...plug it in and play! And it sounds WAY better!

I'm still amazed with it...

Do you actually know anything about audio equipment? Go to any hifi forum and post about how much you love BOSE, and see the responses you get.

BOSE sounds good for everyday consumer audio. However, that is NOT what it positions itself as. I guarantee you that you can easily put together a system that sounds far better than any BOSE product, and for equal or less money. There's an old joke in the hifi-er community

I have a set of Bose headphones, the Triports, that I love and in general I do like their stuff, but there is better for the money. Problem is that to know what's good, you basically have to get a bachelors degree in audio enginnering unless you just go by dollar signs.
