It isn't wrong. That is why they put these shows that aren't for children on later at night. It could be a free for all and just let them broadcast the shows at any time during the day, but they don't. Apparently, that isn't good enough for you. Give someone an inch.

You must not have read my post #16.

I bought my girls Barbies. I had GI Joes when I was a kid. I think it was completely stupid that people protested GI Joe as a symbol of violence, just as I find the outrage over the tattoo Barbie stupid.

I am a capitalist. I think if you can make a product that isn't illegal and you have a market for it, then go for it.

however, from a moral perspective, I think buying your daughter ne of these tattoo Barbies is stupid as well.

If a parent is a responsible parent, then they just don't allow them in thier house. When the kid get her own job and wants t spend her own money on it and is not living in their house, then fine.

I laugh at those that don't realize that is whats going on.

People see what's going on (i.e. TV programing that has shows/channels, some of which are good for kids, some of which are not) and it is our responsibility as parents to decide what our children watch, read, play with and eat.

I don't need some gigantic nanny telling me that there should be no shows more vulgar that Mr. Rogers Neighborhood on my TV because some idiot isn't parenting their child.

I'm more concerned about a parent that doesn't feed their child, beats them with a belt or tells them they were a worthless piece of crap that they never wanted in the first place.

I agree I do think the networks could do a better job in assisting the Parent. Easy to say it is the parent responsibly but almost impossible to be there every min of the day. My folks were lucky TV was much more discreet when I was growing up.

Face it shows like Dick Van Dyke or I love Lucy never showed the couple in bed together instead the bed room had 2 single beds.:laugh2:

Granted that is a bit much but there was a sense of responsibility by TV producers towards the family back then. Today there is some pretty trashy stuff on cable all hours of the day and to a large extent it is glorified by the media.
