Yeah I agree. If you want to say he is not Vernon Davis with his foot speed I will give you that, but getting open consistently and probably retiring as the 2nd all time receiver among TE's in NFL history does not happen unless you run exceptional routes, never mind sloppy routes.

Not to rag on Witten but I do feel his game has slipped slightly. He still puts up great numbers but I think there is room for him to tighten it back up a bit. Hopefully this leads to even better play on his part.

Not sure what you are reading, or you are just quick to come to wittens defense. I said he runs the "Out Route" sloppy. I did not know Witten made his career off of the Out Route, please explain.

I don't think he runs it sloppy. But he is not going to create great separation so it does make the pass risky.

Yeah, that as well. He runs it sloppy in terms he does not cut that great when running it. Not his fault, time caught up with him, and he does not have WR feet. Middle of the field is his cash Money
