During the scene when the leader (old silver hair guy) was explaining the plan to run, dividing them into groups of 300... someone mentioned that the aliens were "picking up" groups of 400 or more. And, "what are we going to do when they start picking up groups of 300?" To which the leader said, "Then we will divide again, run, and survive." So, apparently the aliens were ignoring groups of people until they got to be a certain size. I dont think there was any explaination around how the aliens know how many people are in a group...

That would be suicide.
The party was when they stopped they did that to fill normal I mean come on a cup cake is not some big party. You may think it is stupid but it is how people cope and maintain hope. You know what in today's world there are a lot of people I think that would still not pick up a gun. The mentality is let the military or police due it protect us from everything.Double Trouble;3977003 said:Keeping kids occupied is one thing...planning birthday parties is ludicrous.
The main guy's teenage son and his girlfriend are fighting. As were some other young girls. As was the aforementioned 13 year old who freaked out over his dog, incidentally who was referred to as a "good fighter".
There was tension between the "fighters" and the "eaters" as the hot Doctor described them. In such a situation, everyone physically able to pick up a gun and shoot would do so. Able bodied men could hardly sit idly by - as some were - while little kids go in their stead to fight (except for perhaps the disabled and the extreme cowards). I'd like to think that the % of Americans who would sit on their can in such a situation would be much lower. The way the most of the people acted was that this was not a desperate situation at all...more like they were relocating because of flooding.

200 civilians and they just couldn't find anyone other than a prisoner to make a decent meal? I'm sure that won't come back to bite them. :laugh2:

Step one make him the cook so he can earn their trust. Plus they have Tom quoting him when talking about killing the alien, "you just have to get close enough".
I really love the main concept of the show, the execution it falling flat for me.
You guys are saving me time....seeing that I hadn't started this one yet.peplaw06;3980781 said:This show is teetering on the ledge. I may give it another episode or two, but right now it's pretty ridiculous. All the issues I had with the premiere just got worse and they added to them.
