New Tomb Raider or Assassins Creed Odyssey

Anyone getting one or both?

Played the heck outta the TR series from the first game until the Last Revelation, played Underworld and overall don't like the direction they have taken the series with more action and less actual tomb raiding/puzzles{although the new one is supposed to fix that somewhat}



Never played a Assassins Creed game but have watched them being played, they seemed OK just not my cup of tea. Odyssey which comes out next month by all reports has added more RPG elements to the game.


The graphics for both games however look amazing, kind of skiddish to drop 60 bucks on a game unless it is GOTY material.

Assasins Creed will be a good game (outside of part 3 they all have been) and is cool they're giving more depth to the character development w/RPG elements. But honestly from the sounds of your preference, TR might be the better bet if they're going back to the discovery, puzzle element than the action game they did the last two rounds. AC is like Batman but with less puzzles in my opinion.

Both games look amazing. I'm going to have to buy a PS4 for winter.
