Round 1- Owamagbe Odighizuwa DE, UCLA- Seems too early right? When it's all said and done come April I think this kid will definitely be in consideration for a late 1st round pick. Marking him as my pet cat now. If you were to build a 4-3 DE in a lab that player would probably come out looking like "Owa." 6'3 270 with long arms and chiseled muscle. Extremely quick and incredibly strong + his long arms makes his bull rush is deadly. Consistently puts OT's on roller skates. The 1 major red flag is that he missed the entire 2013 season due to hip surgery and it does appear to limit his flexibility and ability to turn the corner. He will most likely never be a pure speed rusher due to that, but his combination of size, strength, relentless motor and quickness will make him a guy who lives in the backfield who is great against the run and constantly at least puts pressure on the QB. I also think we have only seen the tip of the ice berg of Owa at UCLA, his potential is through the roof.
Round 2- D'Joun Smith CB, Florida Atlantic- Smooooothhhh DB. Fast with incredible feet and overall coordination. Good, not great, size at 5'11 190....needs to continue to get stronger for sure. 7 INT's and 13 passes defended in 2013. Stats dropped off this year, but from all accounts his overall play has been much better. Shows no fear going in for the tackle despite his size. Heres a nice article and interview with him, definitely seems like a good kid too. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/...ct-underrated-florida-atlantic-cb-djoun-smith
Round 3- Mike Davis RB, South Carolina- Powerful compact frame, with a low center of gravity, and good feet and agility make Davis a difficult guy to bring down. Does a good job of staying low and being patient before making a cut and exploding though the hole. The only 2 slight complaints I have about him are that he has good, not great, speed, and he definitely needs to improve his pass blocking. Other than those 2 things he's a tough plug and play back who could be very effective in breaking off chunks of yards behind our great o line.
Round 4- Jamil Douglas OG/OT, AZ State- Can't stop adding to the o line.....Douglas was a former HS TE who has grown into 6'4 305 lb physical specimen (Bruce Feldman ranked him as the #16 "freak" in college). 30+ starts in a row for Arizona State with experience everywhere besides C. His best position is probably LG going forward, but played LT this year. I like his mixture of upside and experience making him a backup at multiple positions early with the potential to start down the line.
Round 5- Darius Kilgo DT, Maryland- Long armed, strong DT who consistently dominated the line of scrimmage in college. Played 3-4 NT at Maryland but is far from just a stump in the middle. Does a good job of penetrating and working his way down the line on run plays. Looks to be a good fit as an early down 1 tech who can be a force against the run. Must watch game of his against Iowa.... http://draftbreakdown.com/video/darius-kilgo-vs-iowa-2014/
