Ok man, you’re still a homer ;) but I respect your honest answer. I always mistakenly took it differently. We may still disagree but I’m glad to know that. Cheers my fellow fan :yourock:
I’m not sure what I said to make you think I’m a homer but sure. Not one of those fans that gets offended by that term. I for sure am a homer just don’t know what I said to make you think I was one.

The offensive tackles are garbage. The defense is a sieve. The pass rush is basically non-existent. The run defense is not top notch. The secondary puts up the resistance of a papier mache wall. But, in spite of all of that, they got a win. Yes, a lot of it had to do with the Giants lacking anything resembling discipline on the field, but the Cowboy defense made some stops when they needed to in OT, and Prescott hung in there enough to make the plays to win the game. Brandon Aubrey is a freak of nature with ice water in his veins.

Have to hope that Beebe's injury isn't long term, because they don't need an interior weakness on the OL to join the bookend turnstiles.

One other note - trading Parsons may have been better for the cap, but it is not an improvement on the field. Think of the 1991 Cowboys. They had bodies to throw at DE, but guys like Daniel Stubbs, Jim Jeffcoat, Tony Tolbert and Tony Hill were not getting to the QB, and it limited their ability to shut down passing games. They added Haley, and suddenly those other guys (minus Hill and Stubbs) could rush the passer due to teams having to account for Haley's presence. The 2025 Cowboys did the reverse - they got rid of the guy you have to game plan for, leaving a "deep" group of ends. What it is is a deep group of JAGs. This team is going to struggle on defense all season because they don't have difference makers. Hope the offense is up to having to score 30 or more a game to win.

Gilmore doesn’t make any sense. He’s done/cooked/washed. He can’t run.

Good write up though!
I appreciate it.

That statement was based on the idea that he would be physically checked out before signing. Tbh, I watch very little of what he did last year. If you're right and he's cooked, I'd rather weather the storm with what we have than spend draft assets on a guy that's just fillng in for a few weeks.Would have to be a guy that could replace Diggs after this season.

Other than that Mrs Lincoln

Obviously there’s no way to prove it 1 way or the other…but I think the HR + lightning delay was better defense than our actual defense
It's possible, but it looked like to me that we played good defense in that one. We did not today.

I know there are injuries but this has to stop. There are way too many blown coverages.

Hurts totaled 100 yards passing today. Looks like so far the Eagles passing game isn't a good barometer on how good the pass D is.

It's going to be nice walking with more pep in my step this week over this team and how good they looked today.

We took apart an opponent who could compete for the Super Bowl.
