Our bad showing last few weeks hurt our borderline guys.

The anti Dallas voting trend continues....

How did Witten get jobbed? Crumpler and Shockey are both having better seasons. I have no issue with that selection (or non selection). Isn't he first alternate? That is exactly where he should be.

Crumpler deserves to go, but Witten does have more catches and more touchdowns. Shockey's stats are inflated (but he still has only two more catches than Witten) because the Giants throw to him so much. When we've thrown to Witten, his stats are better than they were last season in every aspect.

He may only have two more catches, but Shockey has 175 more yards and 2 more TDs. Not to mention more plays over 20 yards and more plays over 40 yards.

Crumpler has the same number of TDs, but ~100 more yards and many more plays over 20+.

I love Witten, but I just don't see any sign that he got screwed in any way shape or form. You can argue QB. You can argue corner. This one falls right in line though IMO.

Shock 63-873 7 TD's
Witt 61-698 5 TD's
Crump 58-793 5 TD's

Thats close in my book

If the Falcons weren't on MNF 12 times a year then Vick and Crumpler and would have been replaced by Bledsoe and Witten.

Newman should at least be an alternate. He doesn't have enough picks for the voters, but it's hard to find three cornerbacks in the NFC who are better than him.

No, Shockey was as good a blocker as Witten this year and more explosive in the passing game.

Crumpler is a much better blocker.

Those two definitely deserve the Pro Bowl over Witten this year.

What's it going to be then, eh?

How can his stats be inflated if he has only two more catches than Witten?

Don't you mean he is marketed better, has more yards and is more flashy?

Everyone knows that the pro bowl is based on name recognition and previous trips...players who have multiple trips can get in even if they've had an off year.

For my Skins, i think samuels doesnt deserve it entirely, but Moss does. Cooley does as well.

I agree Newman should have made it. The qb play in the nfc was weak this year, so saying bledsoe should have made it isn't a huge compliment but a case can be made for him. Vick's stats aren't all that but he's an exciting player to watch and thats what everyone wants to see.

I agree that newman should have made it as well.

No, his stats are inflated because the Giants throw the ball to him so much. They've thrown 116 passes to him; he's caught only 63 and leads NFC tight ends with six drops. We've thrown only 80 passes to Witten, but he's caught 61 of them -- a whopping 76.3 percent.

If we had thrown 116 passes to Witten at his current rate of catches, yards and touchdowns, he'd have 88 catches for 1,012 yards and seven touchdowns -- far better numbers than Shockey has, and similar numbers to what he had last year, when we threw to him almost as frequently as the Giants have thrown to Shockey this season. And if Witten had those numbers, he would be going to the Pro Bowl again, without a doubt.
