Albert Breer is reporting that Newman is no sure bet to return. Www.rotoworld.com is where I saw it. Nnamdi? Champ? Peterson? Prince? Harris? Lots of options available

Newman won't sniff his 8 mill.

Seems crazy to me though. I think that takes a shaky position and makes it flat out terrible.

theebs;3834262 said:Just because I think for the past two seasons he has had occasional mental mistakes that cost us, but at the same time I think he is still very good.
Its just that people only remember the bad plays. I still think he makes more good plays than bad ones. Even if over the past two seasons at times the bad ones have really bad killers.
and I think it is crazy because I actually would prefer they keep newman and add 1 or 2 experienced corners and have competition and turn that spot into a positive.
I am scared of releasing newman at this point and having jenkins and a rookie.
Sarge;3834267 said:point well taken, but I just don't seem him worth the $ he's getting at this point.
theebs;3834269 said:I kinda wish we could keep him and bring in a guy like carlos rodgers to give us 4 experienced corners.
theebs;3834269 said:Yeah thats the catch, that is why he is this years flo.
You just cant pay him that much when he has been giving up those plays, even if he balances it out.
I kinda wish we could keep him and bring in a guy like carlos rodgers to give us 4 experienced corners.
