Speaking of "agendas" #41gy..
:laugh2:
.. always right there to defend your boy all year long when he's clearly been beat game in and game out.
Go ahead and post another quote from the same anonymous scout saying that Newman is a shut down corner now.. lol.
I will defend my guy from wrong opinions like yours.
"Newman is what you'd consider a shut-down corner," one scout said. "Talented player. Long arms. Some say he's still a top five (cornerback). Not real big and physical, but he will go in and cut a guy down."

That "one NFL scout" quotes the "some" (plural) that he has talked to in his NFL profession. Again, "some" would be plural and not just what that one scout thought. That would be what other NFL people thought, the guys who actually get paid to evaluate personnel in the NFL.
I guess RTH knows more than NFL Scouts.
You have stated that Newman has never been "that" good, or that he is over rated.
When it's been just the exact opposite. He more respected around the NFL when it comes to NFL GMs, NFL Scouts, Pro Personnel People, NFL Coaches, ect...
A
2008 Pro Football Weekly Survey of
NFL GMs,
NFL scouts,
NFL personnel guys, and
NFL coaches rated
Newman the
number 5 CB in the NFL coming into 2008. Do I need to go get the link. I've posted it on here before. So, what that "one" NFL scout stated late last year, fits what this survey stated.
Rod Woodson put Newman exactly at number 5 in one of his recent surveys that was within this time frame, too. (Before the 2009 season)
Go ahead...
It's a great day for RTH...
Beep...
Beep...
Newman and
Jenkins were rated the number 4 CB duo after last season according to an article that surveyed NFL personnel people, scouts, GMs, and NFL coaches.
I've given you four NFL sources who put Newman in a top 5 list.
What ever...
Again, it's a good day for this thread..
Enjoy it...
You guys have not had very many over the last 8 years..
Going into this game, Newman had only given up 2 significant plays down the sidelines in man coverage. Both plays were not nearly as big as this one. The NY and GB plays were around 20 yard plays or in that area.
The one today hurt for sure, but Newman should not have even been on the field.
If Roy Williams protects the football, Dallas is most likely playing cover 2 when they go back out there.
I just put this in another thread recently, and that thread sure did croak fast.
Again, you have some ammunition now...
Fire away....
