Living out here in the Bay Area the buzz around here is the 49ers maybe ready to get rid of Aldon Smith. My question do we need to take a run at him if available/ Just trying to get the thoughts of my fellow Cowboys brothers and Sisters here at the Zone.

The buzz is for 1 year. If it is an addiction he may get treatment.
Expect leash shortening and a league suspension. 2 felony counts 1 with a weapons charge ..and this isn't LAX

Nope. For starters, we don't sign guys like that any more. Additionally the threat of suspensions from the league from future episodes is a deal breaker.

I think he's a bad *** player plays like a man possessed but acts like a stupid pro, I'd be more interested in his teammate LaMichael James too compete with Dunbar same type and he's according too sources on trade block

nothing to see here, this is not the player you are looking for <<<best Jedi mind trick>>>

lol at many of u, many who have defended someone who has repeatedly driven drunk AND actually killed someone

If he were on the cowboys you guys would be falling all over yourselves defending him

This guy brings it on Sundays
If he wins my team win a SB I take him in a heartbeat

If the niners cut him, I would be first in line

Garrett however does not have the cojones to control him so it won't happen

While I'd likely discuss this with the coaches (should I actually get the GM job) and have Calvin look into the social and mental aspects you can't do much with him if he gets suspended or the whispers on the wind sound like suspension. However, the part where you antagonize other members I don't agree with. If he were to continue to play AND get proper attention/treatment we are one of the better teams for it. Unfortunately you can't always get to people before they self destruct.

The I gotta bomb thing may get defused pun intended. Those people have pushed my buttons on occasion but I was forced to restrain myself. I'm not certain he's a time bomb or not.

dont mistake a few for "many" most posters on this board are not proponents of bringing Josh Brent back. I know for one, I am not so....
