"Drafted with an extensive injury history, Thomas possessed the athletic ability of a Day 2 (second- or third-round) pick, but too many medical concerns caused him to slide deep into the draft. Still, the Cowboys took a chance on him, and Thomas spent the entire 2024 season on injured reserve. This past season, he was healthy enough to play in all 17 games, including four starts"

I did not know this, or maybe just forgot about it.
I do remember them saying he could have been drafted higher. But passed it off as their typical, we got great value excuse.

I don't recall hearing anything about injury or injury concern.

who dat?;)

He’s a tough one for me to figure out.

Initially I was surprised by how solid he looked, but then there was one particular game where he was giving me Chaz Green flashbacks!

:omg:

I’m not sure what to think about him at this point.

The Dallas Cowboys have the worst tackle tandems in the league. Steele can't play and Guyton doesn't want to.

This is an absolute must. Guyton at best is a RT. Let he and Steele compete for that spot and draft a new T.
The problem is Steele has a better grade than Guyton

Probably just needs a lot of reps with the 1’s.

Dude is built like a tank.

Yeah I don't either. That's kind of our tackle room altogether.

I don't think Steele is bad as people think he is. I think you can get away with his level of play as a right tackle.

Guyton scares me because I think the talent is there I just don't know if the mental is and I don't know if he's capable of getting stronger with his physique. He looks like a tall lanky basketball player.

Then there's Nate Thomas and yeah I thought he looked solid at times last year but then he showed signs of a rookie which I believe he was last year. There's at least potential there.

I liked Asim Richards but they clearly didn't for some reason.

Steele had a bit of a bounce back season in 2025. He was solid but not spectacular.

Draft Rankings based on Consensus

Sure, it’s overkill today, but it would allow us to move on from either or both of our current tackles this year or next. And our O-line would be stacked.

Nate Thomas should be afforded the opportunity to participate in the competition for an OT spot.

Best wishes for putting his best foot forward to prove himself as a keeper. A good one is needed.

That would piss me off but they for sure would improve their offensive lineman group. Bud and Rodriguez would improve this defense for sure though.

Yeah, it wasn’t ideal based on their biggest needs, but I couldn’t argue with the value at those spots. And it would solidify the offensive line for some time with talent across the board.

Yeah truthfully i'm so against offense in the draft this year but that is probably a smart way to build the team especially if it fell that way and you still get Clark and Rodriguez. Got great value on offensive line and defense. WE would be better for it honestly.

Are you blind? If so sorry. If not just watch the screen.
He says "based on" and you reply with a question tells me you don't even know. Because truthfully Steele wasn't terrible last year. And whether or not Guyton wants to play who knows but we know he's had injury.
