How you like them apples?
Grass is always greener guys. Grass is always greener.
if its part of the game....then its fine. almost every team uses it, but I still have my reservations about somebody from college translating their offense to the NFL in one season and seeing success. Kelly was on of the best and coming from Big 12, where there are no defenses and just offenses.RPO came from college. Eagles basically used it to get to the superbowl. So Im not sure if your correct that college play designs don't work in the pros.
As for our coaching staff, play calling is an issue. Coaches are clueless on how to run the plays needed for the skillset of our players. Stubborness of our coaches to adapt is whats killing us. We are a talented team which underperforms due to lack of coaches not knowing how to use the talent we have.
Oh wow North Carolina too, a real college power house. Changes everything. You're right they're lining up.
People actually think Kliff would come in here and turn Dak into Mahomes and we'd have an air raid offense. Hilarious.
Pederson had NFL pedigree. some of the assistants, not all ad the main ones had NFL pedigree, the OC and the DC...... so how much does a position coach impact the game planKelly's major downfall was from the personality perspective.
That was the one thing that all the talk in his last year. He didn't connect with players. Yet the Eagles inherited his strength team and some of his assistants and won a title. And after pairing them with Pederson who also got the college tie-in.
What a coincidence.
Are you serious?
Not. Jason. Friendly.
Garrett has no ties with Kingsbury and would have to adjust to his concepts coming in.
It would set up a stab in the back situation that only Garrett could appreciate since he was installed before Phillips knew what was going on.
You are right. It sounds funny.I know this will sound funny but I get the feeling that the Jones family finally recognizes Jason needs to just sort of be in charge and have real coordinators. I think the improvement the defense has shown since Richard came in has caused the Cowboys braintrust to be more willing to go get outside help. Jason is good at presenting a united front, never shows too much emotion, and is the monotone voice of the team on the field.
If the Cowboys get blown out in a playoff game and especially if the offense can't keep up, I could very much see Garrett being "asked" to bring in a fresh, new offensive mind.
I could live with that! Richard as DCNo, head coach. Do it.
Me too. It is already Richard's D for the most part.I could live with that! Richard as DC
Are you even literate? Can you R E A D?
It clearly states that he’s vetting offers from colleges and NFL teams.
Straw man much?
I know, right? Did not even tell the man so he had time to clean out his desk. Cold blooded.Man... Why can't our front office be as decisive as Green Bay's? #RIPMcCarthy
As much as I dislike Garrett, with them winning now, I see him as HC, would love the combo of Riley and Richard as coordinatorsMe too. It is already Richard's D for the most part.

Stats don't lie.. In the 13 years that he's been a head coach, the last 2 years are the only 2 years he's gone below .500. His win/loss average is 10-6 (and that's figuring in the last 2 years records). Take those 2 years out and he'd average 12-4 as a heads coach... Jason Garrett is a .500 coach... Now tell me who you would want as our head coach..Don’t know if McCarthy is a great coach. It’s difficult to have confidence in him when he can’t win with Rodgers.
Not so sure. He’s young and could get his NFL feet wet as OC for a year until Garrett’s contract runs outAgain no one who's anyone wants to be under Garrett. I'm sure Riley would rather be top dog at OU then Jason Garrett's lapdog.
Recruiting anyone to be Garrett's underling will be hard.Again no one who's anyone wants to be under Garrett. I'm sure Riley would rather be top dog at OU then Jason Garrett's lapdog.
Yeah, no one is giving up the HC job at en elite program like Oklahoma to be an NFL assistant. No one.Not so sure. He’s young and could get his NFL feet wet as OC for a year until Garrett’s contract runs out
