Most of today's news coverage was about the new Ring of Honor Walk at the Star, so a simple question. Who do you think will be the next player to get in?

These would be my candidates:

1. Tony Romo: I personally don't think he gets in for the same reason as Danny White. Love Romo but he never took us to a championship game let alone a Super Bowl.

2. DeMarcus Ware: Does the franchise's all-time sack leader get in? I'm on the fence.

3. Deion Sanders: I don't think he was a Cowboy long enough (though Haley only played for the boys from 92 to 96)

4. Jerry Jones: He gets in, but probably not until ownership is passed to his sons sometime in the future.

5. Jason Witten: Obviously he's still playing - If he's the next one in (and let's face it, he going in) that would mean no one else gets in over the next 4 or 5 years.

Who am I missing? Jay Novacek? Danny White?

I think Jimmy is going to get there sooner than a lot of guys think.

I feel like Jerry officially buried that hatchet after the HOF Zane Stephen even hinted to it.

Definitely feel like Jimmy is next too. Would love to see Harvey Martin make it in. And mercenary or not, Deion should be honored as a Cowboy great. If Haley is in Cowboys ROH, then Deion is deserving.

All on that list besides Deion gets in eventually imo. Love me some Deion but as OP already mentioned he wasn't a Cowboy long enough. I would also like to add Harvey Martin, Ed Jones, Cornell Green and maybe Charlie Waters.

Edit: Jimmy will be in as well

I say Tony because he is not playing anymore. Ware was great, but Tony carried this team for alot of years. Deion wasn't a Cowboy long enough. As of now, if I'm not mistaken, the ring of honor is exclusive to players, so I don't see Jerry in there. And Witten is still playing...as long as he is playing he is not eligible, but if Tony goes in, Witten had better go in to!

I could see Deion making it since Haley did.

Deion actually played with us the majority of his career (5 with us, 5 with the Falcons), Haley was a 49er for 8 seasons versus only 5 with the Cowboys. Deion was also a first team all pro for this team 3 times versus only once for Haley.

I think it should be Jimmy but out of that list I picked Ware. I would have picked Tony but he's not retired yet as he's our backup.;)

I too think Jimmy should be next. All of those other guys (except Deion) will eventually get in and have plenty of time left. No hurry with them.
Although I really can't think of any reason why Deion can't get in, to be honest. Jerry forcing Haley in has really opened the floodgates for edge cases.

Nice rebuttal, but Charles was seen as the missing piece. He was here for all three Superbowls while Deion was only present for one.

And Deion wasn't even healthy his last couple of years here . His best years were with the Falcons.
