You must be a day-to-day kind of gal. ;)

Only when it comes to the Cowboys. lol I'm on record as saying I just try to enjoy the journey.

There are so many factors that can determine the Cowboys offseason needs that I just choose not to worry about it right now. They may decide to lock in one of the no-name guys to a small extension, which might affect the salary cap. What will they do with Rat? What if they ask Ware to take a paycut? Or Rat and Miles? Gotta extend Dez. Re-do Romo's contract. Let's say we lose another defensive guy and they gotta address that in the offseason. Just saying, it's too much for me to personally worry about.

Maybe.

The biggest questions are:

1. Is Ware done? His base salary is 12.2M for 2014. Would that money be better spent on a healthy Free Agent? They regain all of the 12.2M in cap space but the gains are spread over 3 years. Only about 3.2M is gained in 2014 vs restructuring his contract.

2. Do they try to re-sign the 36/37 year old Waters or draft a Guard early or sign a Free Agent?

3. Can they get immediate contributors on the DLine in the draft?

I think you are right. Before I would have said that Ware is a lock to return but after seeing the #'s I'm not so sure.

I was wrong about Waters I hope they can resign him and draft a player to take over for him.

I think that the Dline should be the first pick in the draft.

True but you can still offer your thoughts. Its what we do as fans. :D

I never count on being a complete team 'next year'.

With this team, it's always "fix one thing another thing breaks".

Anyone else think Jerry goes all out on the D-line and we become a powerhouse? 2 years ago addressed CB, this year o-line, and next year should be d-line. I think the LB and saftey play will improve with experience.

Next year, we have some fairly serious cap issue that will need to be dealt with.

If we finish 8-8 again and miss the playoffs I think Garrett will be the first to go.

I totally understand. I can be in the middle of a report or a contract or even on a conference call and I still have to check out what is on the Zone. :p

Unlike two years ago I don't think we have the cap space to do it. I don't even think they need to go all out. Might need 2 pass rushers. We can find those in the draft. Tyrone Crawford should also be back.

This team had been adding players year after year and they're still a 500 team. To be a complete team the Cowboys need solid coaching.

This is the most distressing thing. Here I thought we were finally through the John Mara fiasco and we would be big players in the market again. Guess not.

Well that's how it is in the NFL. Its not a easy league to win in. That's not an excuse for mediocrity but just because you don't have success mean you stray away from what's good with your team and IMO Garrett is good for this team. Since he's taken over for this team the penalties have gone down, the drafts look a lot better, there's been accountability. I know its a very unpopular opinion to say good things about Garrett here but under the circumstances he's been good for us.

And you can change coaches all you want but this team and its structure will always be surrounded by Jerry Jones.

What if we win the division at 6-10 and make it to the NFC title game? :D

7-9 could possibly win the division most likely 8-8 will get it done. I'll be surprised if it takes 9 wins to win the East better know this year as the NFC Least.

You don't have success being players in the free agent market though. Your team will go as far as your drafts allow you to go. You can win the free agency market and not even make the post season. If anything the lack of cap space helps us and allows for us to focus on fixing our needs through the draft like it should be done.

Being 500 every season is not good for us his W/L record says he's not getting it done.

Yeah a 500 club has the crappy end of both sides. Not bad enough to draft high and not good enough to make the dance. This is the worst place to be for a team.

I think its pretty obvious that if Garrett cant win the division this year, well, he probably aint going to win it next year either. The division is not going to be this bad again for some time, so if Garrett cant get it done this year when the Giants are flopping like a fish out of water, the Skins have a one-legged QB with accuracy issues, and the Eagles have a college coach who is rotating Qbs?

It dont get much easier than this folks, talk about a division being set up for you....................and if we still cant get it done..................clean house because something has gone seriously wrong with this program.

Another draft like the last 2 maybe 3 is all we can hope for. If we find another free agent like waters to sprinkle in it would be nice. I think that our scouts have really stepped up in regards to our draft , really don't know about free agency as our G.M. has us in a bind salary cap wise.

Well it depends on how you view it. If you watch this team and feel like they are underachieving than you may have a point. But I think he inherited a 6-10 and currently has a 8-8 team playing decent football. But I don't see this team as underachievers and I don't blame him for being 8-8. We're not as good as the Bronco's or Chiefs and we're jus as good as the Chargers. That's where our 3 losses have come from. And for what its worth it seems like this team is getting better by the game aside from the Chargers game.

This is like year 4 of the Garrett admin..............how many coaches in the NFL that take over a 6-10 team and have that team preforming at 8-8 after 4 years still gets a pass?

Cant think of too many. Usually if you take over a non-playoff team and in year 4 of your admin, its still a non-playoff team.......................have not seen too many coaches in that position get extensions..........have you?
