The Cowboys are going to ride out the next year or two of Dak Prescott under center, who will get tired of having the constant conversation about his job security and wave his no-trade clause before his deal expires. Brian Schottenheimer has one year to convince the Cowboys that he’s the guy. Otherwise, he’s out. Dak would waive his no trade clause right now. The Cowboys are a disaster, but even an idiot like Jerry Jones knows Dak’s contract makes him un-tradable. Obviously Dak will never have to worry about job security the rest of his life. He has $231 million guaranteed. Jerry Jones will never fire a head coach with years left on his deal. He won’t pay a guy not to coach. Jerry thinks he made Deion who and what he is. He’ll never invite anyone who takes the spotlight into his organization. That includes Deion’s son. Teams don’t trade first round draft picks unless they’re getting a first round draft pick in return. No NFL ownership group would deny their fans being part of the extravaganza that is the NFL draft…especially day one. Jerry Jones isn’t the only NFL owner that knows it’s about entertainment before winning.
