I think you should be able to bear hug a quarterback and he is down. You can’t have it both ways.

Hitting a guy when he's out of bounds is different than hitting a wr over the middle as he's trying to make a catch.

The first down was a running play with Barkley as an option. It was a read option run where Hurts elected to keep it but they took away the running lane. Once it is 2nd and 12 rushing is a bad option.
