Nah. Look at their record over the last 25 years.

super bowl win.
Another Super Bowl appearance.
How many NFC title games have they been to?

They legit have one of the most successful teams in the league in the last 25 years.

it pains me to say it because I freaking hate the eagles. But it’s true.

Only maybe like 4-5 teams have had more success in the last 25 years.

I believe they have been in 6 NFC title games since 2000, winning two of them.

Even without a Super Bowl in 25 years, Dallas…

Has more fans
Is worth more as a franchise
Gets more ratings
Has a better stadium
Has a better nickname
Has more overall victories
Has more Super Bowls
Dallas fans never had a jail in their stadium, don’t boo Santa Claus, or eat road apples.

Meanwhile, I’ve seen several Eagle fans celebrating on FB like they won something of importance. They’re strutting because they’re in first place after one game!

Also WFT started 2-7 and won the East last year, and yet again only 1 team won week 1. it’s a unique circumstance of a division

yea we have seen time and time again how these September games are generally not indicative of how a teams season will go. I always remember those Dolphins teams in the early 00's that would jump out to fast starts then completely fall apart.

I am happy for Jalen Hurts, that guy is one class act the way he handled being benched at Bama and still was cheerleading his team was a most welcome sight to see.

Damn, I hate it when teams I should hate have players that I like. It's not fair. I mean, I had the Skins and Theisman and Riggins, the Giants with Jacobs and the Eagles with McChunky and Bergey. Lurie, please trade Hurts.

I watched all of the East games because of the free Sunday Ticket and I will say that the Eagles played like the most complete team; however, I think all 4 East teams would have beaten the Falcons. They're in the hunt for Ryan's replacement in this upcoming draft.

Imagine how Risen feels every year…

We are have the 6th fewest losses since 2000, winning 58% of our games, 1 spot ahead of the Saints.

We are 6th in playoff wins since 2000, at 14

We are second to only the Patriots in Conference Championship game appearances at 6

And fifth in SB appearances at 2

Because of the Patriots, only 5 teams have won more SBs in that span

One of the reasons last year was such a shocker is because Philadelphia is a regular divisional contender. Only 3 teams in the whole league have more playoff appearances than us in that span.

Won More than Seattle, more than Chargers, Saints, Cowboys, Chiefs you name it

Your team has won the NFC East nine times in the past 25 years. That's not exactly being one of the better teams for the past 25 years. Philly was one of the better teams in the league from 2001-2006. Any claim beyond that is based on the Super Bowl season. In no other season since 2006, has your team been able to even make it out of the wild-card round of the playoffs. So in one year out of the past 14, your team has been one of the better teams in the league. Hope your as happy with that as I am that Dallas made it past the wild-card round in 2018.

You should probably double check that. We also made it out to the divisional round in 2018, surely you remember the double doink game against Chicago. Furthermore, you played on Saturday and we lasted a day longer, so yeah I am just as happy with that as you are.

Additionally, we made yet another NFCCG in 2008, the year Plaxico shot himself and Giants still went 12-4. We were the wild card team, meaning we won 2 consecutive road games and narrowly lost the NFCCG to the Cardinals.

So ironically, ONLY counting the years you forgot about, we still have as many playoff wins as the Dallas Cowboys.

Sorry, I was only looking at a page that featured division winners, which we were in 2018 instead of Philly.

Nowhere do I say that the Cowboys haven't been bad, only that Philly has not been one of the better teams. I stick by that. I'll give you 2001-2008. Last 10 years-plus, you've been mostly average like the rest of the East.

Both our teams have won the East four times since 2009, but you at least have a Super Bowl to show for it.

The reality is when saying the best teams of the NFL in that span, after the first 5 it drops off a bit. Chiefs had a huge stretch of ineptitude, Seahawks were middling for the most part under Holmgren and before, New Orleans were not only terrible before 2006 but were also a losing or .500 team for many years under Brees. Broncos Extraordinarily inconsistent. Vikings the kings of shootings themselves in the foot.

Philadelphia really is the 6th most accomplished in that span (or even 5th, depending on how you judge Baltimore’s stretches of indolence). That’s top 15-18% of the league because no one else has been better. Absolutely I’d say >top20% qualifies as “amongst the better teams.” How could it possibly not?

I don't think we can consider the Falcons a test for the Eagles. I heard they had their 2022 draft board finalized right before opening kickoff.

and had started negotiations with a potential #1 pick of the draft
