We need a miracle and to win out, while the rest of the teams to go into a hole. Not going into any scenarios, as we all know we just need to win a freaking game first.
Mathematically we are in it, but so is every other team in any division...LOL...

Any way, if we do not get a miracle and are eliminated. Who do you want to win the East.

I am inclined, at this point in time the dreaded Commanders to pull it off. As I sure do not want the Eagles to win it.
And really don't want the Giants to take it again either for various reasons. I hate to see all the OBJ love that will float around.
So by default, rather it be the Commanders, then they get blown out in the 1st round.

Commanders are my least favorite rival team, so I'll never pull for them. But they're quietly making a play. They just need the QB.

Only thing is, for us to truly get our hearts ripped out again, we need Tony back and then to win 6 of 7, getting to 8-8 and then losing on a tie breaker to somebody. That probably has to be PHI for maximum damage to my soul, since they're the ones who knocked Romo out in the first place.

With CAR and GB still on the schedule, that probably means we have to sweep WAS in order to experience maximum disappointment, which probably disqualifies them from taking the East, too. Opening the door for PHI, as I said above.

I tend to think the Cowboys will end up tied with the eventual division winner with 7 wins and will lose the division due to tiebreakers. The Cowboys have already lost 6 conference games and still have to play Carolina, at GB, and Washington twice. I think they are losing two of those 4 games, which would give them 8 conference losses.

It won't be. Some fail to see that the rest of the teams in the East still has division games remaining. NY and Philly have two and the Skins have four. Someone has to win them making it even more difficult to take the division. Those are guaranteed wins for someone. I would feel a bit more confident if their divisional games were over aside from us vs the Commanders.

I don't think its outlandish it could end up like like this:

Giants lose 3 (maybe to NYJ, Carolina, and Minnesota) beating Skins and Egals it puts them at 8-8
Egals lose 4 (perhaps New England, Arizona, Skins, & NY) puts them at 7-9
Skins lose 4 (us twice, NY & Carolina) they end up at 7-9

Or course the most unbelievable part is the Cowboys winning out, but there you go.

i can see you have a 2nd "id" to ensure your like count stays above post count.

that in itself is fine. have a day and post/like away.

but with the limited number of posts and only being around for 3 1/2 years or so, this isn't even close.

Depends; if you mean 7 wins in total, I agree. But if it's 7 more wins (extremely unlikely) to get us to 9...yes, that very well could be enough.

In the end, they blew it. They should have won 2-3 of those last 7.
Still can't believe they only scored 6 points on Tampa Bay.

9 might be, but my thinking was many thought 7 wins total could win and i just dont see it at 7. 9 is another story. Im really not even liking our chances with teh Skins because their D always has Romos number. of course we shall see but im not of the mindset even Romo can save the season. I think Garrett and crew have done him and injustice

I don't like the odds of sweeping WAS, either, mostly because they're WAS, and they're a decent roster if they have QB play, and their QB seems to be playing better. But at least they've changed DCs finally. That might bode well for Tony, anyway.

Their qb has yet to play on defense, and their defense has Tonys number. They have beaten up with a limping RG3. if Cousins has 2 legs, they can score on us. however their D might disrupt Tony enough to force FG's which we like instead of TDs.

"In the end, they blew it."

Truer words have never been spoken. That one sentence sums things up perfectly and I wish more people would be willing to admit it.

This season just sucks, and I feel bad for all of my fellow fans who have to endure it.

I think this is a likely scenario, except I would switch records with the Eagles and NY. The Eagles have the Giants number for some reason, so I think the Eagles could end up with the 8-8 record, while the Giants end up at 7-9.

What do the Pats have to do with it? Contrary to your comment, they've been pretty consistent IMO. Did you mean Philly?

I mean 2 games out is 2 game out no matter the W-L record. If we can somehow run the table and get these 7 wins to get to 9-7 were going to make the playoffs as the division champs.
