I mean 2 games out is 2 game out no matter the W-L record. If we can somehow run the table and get these 7 wins to get to 9-7 were going to make the playoffs as the division champs.

If by some miracle we run the table...maybe.

But it's really much worse than 2 games out, because it 2 games out at best. We are at least 2 games behind all three teams, and 2 1/2 behind New York with only 7 to go and only 6 for them.
In other words, all three teams ahead of us have to fold....and we would have to sweep.

Hey, fwiw, I think just maybe 8-8 (if we sweep Washington) may do it with tie-breakers and some luck.

If I'm Vegas....

chance of going 9-7 (so sweeping) = 5%
chance of playoffs at 9-7 = 70%

chance of going 8-8 (so 6-1 the rest of the way) = 25%
chance of playoffs at 8-8 = 20%

chance of 7-9 (5-2) = 45%
chance of playoffs at 7-9 = 5%

chance of at least 6-10 (4-3) = 65%
playoffs = 0%

lol

There will be a 2 team tie at 8-8 for the division. I can't even seriously consider the Cowboys until they win 4 straight games. Until then, it's a pipe dream.

I'm waiting for Bovada to post the odds for it this week and lay some money on it

We are actually 2.5 games behind the Giants for the division lead with 7 to play and we lost our head to head tiebreak so we might need to finish better than the Giants to win the division. So we are talking about making up 3 games over the last 7?

We pretty much have to run the table to have any chance at all..................with Carolina on Thanksgiving and road trips to Green Bay and Buffalo.........its not looking good, that's all I will say.

Its not looking good and it's a stretch but possible. I'm very optimistic now but come Black Friday that could end and I'll be on board with the rest of the board.

This fan is just going to settle into rooting for good play from the Cowboys for the remainder of this season.

My only area to still wish for, is to win out all the remaining NFC East games on the schedule.

Then, I'll just bunker down and hope for some judicious pickups during free agency and the draft. Myself, I am hoping these do not include Hardy, Rolando McClain, and Carr.

If the Cowboys ain't winning it, I don't care. I hate all 3 teams in the East. I hate Philly the most because of their delusional and horrible fan base but I still have plenty of hatred left for the other 2. I'm pretty sure most fans feel the same way
