No reason Cowboys can't go to the SB. After we beat the Eagles.

Truth be told, I think N.O. is better than Chicago.

NO was not that impressive today---they ran on the Gmen and wore them down.....But, yes, you are correct, the NFC stinks.

by not impressive i assume you mean they chose to run for 200+ yards instead of passing for 400+ like they did on us?

After impressive wins over Tampa bay and Detroit (thank goodness Mike Williams can't catch) how could you ever come to this conclusion? ;)

Any team in the league that can hold on to the ball is potentially better than chicago.

San Diego, Baltimore, and maybe Chicago look like the only good teams in the NFL. It seems the talent has been stretched too thin: too many teams and good players leave early because of the cap.

Again, Chicago is NOT a good team. They are a good defense covering for a very below average offense.

You keep both hands on the ball versus Chicago and score 17...you beat Chicago.

I think the Raiders would have beat the crap out of the Giants with how bad they were playing today. They were flat out pathetic. The fans weren't booing because they simply lost, it's because they were just performing very very very poorly.

all I know is they walked into our stadium and killed us, then I turn on the tube today and watch them go into NYG and beat the crap out of them too...our win vs NYG wasnt anywhere near as impressive as the Saints win today

not with our defense we wont

I think with the way our pass rush is totally non existant vs everybody, Grossman might throw for 350 yds or so with ease...he does bad when he is rushed around and has to make quick decisions, and thats not what we do to QB's

Rewatch the last wo weeks. While I agree we that haven't put up sack numbers that we all desired this year, but we have been pressuring the QB and collapsing the pocket. Grossman won't put up 200 against our defense without creating five turnovers...despite the recent slide.

Well, if the Giants had held more, or if Tiki could block anyone, or if Manning could have hit the broad side of a barn, all things the Giants did against the Cowboys, I think the Saints win wouldn't have looked anymore impressive than the Cowboys win did, if they win the game at all.

The Saints win against the Cowboys was impressive, though I would still say a lot of that had to do with the Cowboys playing poorly as well, but still impressive. Their win today wasn't though IMO. The Saints I think are clearly the last team any of us would like to play in the NFC, they are good, but they can be beaten, they aren't great. Hopefully they'll suffer at home after a big road win much like they did after beating Dallas.

huh? even Michael Vick, one of the most inaccurate, erratic passers in the league looked all world against our awful pass rush...he had all day on almost every drop back attempt he had

and two weeks ago we gave up 530+ yds and 42 pts...what pass rush did you see in that game?

After the first defensive series, there was none. Drew Brees had eight seconds to scan the field and get rid of the ball on one play. EIGHT. Eight freaking seconds. Thats unbelievable.

I've seen QB's leaving the pocket to complete dump off passes for a ridiculous number of yards...not a reflection of our pass rush. Stats don't always show the whole story. What i have not seen, except on a few occasions, was a QB sitting comfortably in the pocket and picking us apart downfield.

the heading is correct - the NFC is a conference full of mediocre teams, against which the Cowboys have a very good chance of going to the Super Bowl. The Giants did not take one single snap in Saints territory, according to my AOL wrap-up. The only teams I have any concern about beating are the Eagles and Saints - I'm just not buying into Chicago being that good, sorry... At least now I have some small hope of Carolina beating the Saints to give us a bye but I was really hoping the Giants would help us out. Carolina looked pretty bad though too, so I'm almost conceding that we'll get the 3rd seed. Oh well... That sets us up possibly for a Saints Cowboys rematch in New Orleans, with I will wager the winner hosting the NFC championship game.

Remember when everyone here wanted to draft him in the 1st round instead of Ware?
