Green Bay, Minnesota, and Philly lose today. Seattle, Arizona, and Carolina all having down years. Yes, the Giants are lurking and Atlanta is got a formidable offense, but does anyone scare you? Nice to have some cushion right now too.

I don't like to look too far in the future but this season is definitely an opportunity.

It's bittersweet. More sweet than bitter. We have a rare opportunity to do some real damage and possibly goto the Super Bowl. Wish we had addressed the DE situation, it would have guaranteed a Super Bowl berth.

Don't consider this a negative post....I'm really happy with our record!

Pretty much the entire league is down.

In their effort to create parity, the NFL has created a sea of mediocrity.

Dallas is performing far beyond mediocre. I think the difference is depth. They've lost starters all over the field and have improved.

Romo
Collins
Bryant
Smith
Scandrick
Church
Claiborne
Lawrence

Having guys ready to step is really the difference between this year and last.

The usual suspects will find their way into the playoffs.

It could look like this

Divisional winners: Atlanta, Detroit, Seattle, Dallas
Wild Card: Green Bay, New York

If that's what the NFC playoffs will look like, it's going to be tough.

I think Atlanta and the Giants are our biggest threats. Atlanta obviously has a high powered offense. As for the Giants, they almost always play the Cowboys tough, that's just the reality of divisional opponents. I don't think they're a better team than the Cowboys, but as everyone knows, NFCE games can be unpredictable and crazy. Again I think the Cowboys are the better team, divisional rivals are just always a threat in my opinion.

I don't see it happening, but if the 3-5 Panthers did go on a tear and make the playoffs, they could be a problem. They've been a very streaky team in recent years, both hot and cold. That's why I don't want the Falcons to fall off *too* much during the second half of the season. I don't think Carolina could get in unless the NFC South returned to its 2014 form.

I liked the inclusion of the delayed blitz from the LBer's today...we will need to do more of it...Wilson showed some explosiveness and athleticism on the sack. I hope Rod gets more and more aggressive as the whole unit continues to improve. I am with you though...I cringe every time I see the opposing QB doing 7-on-7 drills back there on some pass plays. But I think we will be able to bring the heat, particularly if Mo and Barry get back sooner than later.

I'm thinking the Saints slip into GB's spot right now. I totally overestimated GB. Of course I'm not counting them out either.
