The foes are going to be beating each other up!

Chicago 6-3 Carolina, TB, Atlanta
Carolina 7-2 Chicago, Atlanta, TB, Atlanta
Atlanta 6-3 TB, Carolina, Chicago, Tampa, Carolina
Tampa 6-3 Atlanta, Chicago, Carolina, Atlanta
Seattle 7-2 NY, Philly,

Dallas 6-3 3-1 Giants, Wash, Carolina
Wash 5-4 2-1 Dallas, Giants, Philly
Giants 6-3 1-1 Philly, Seattle, Philly, Wash
Philly 4-5 0-3 Giants, Seattle,Giants, Wash

That equals 4 guaranteed losses in NFC East for our foes.

We virtually own all tiebreakers in NFC East -3-1 record

Seattle has two games in NFC East = Win Win Seattle wins they are knocking out Giants, Eagles

Other than Seattle all the other 6-3 and 7-2 play each other a lot - more guaranteed losses.

The real race is first for division

Next big factor is home field - If we can crack a top 2 seed we get a bye and have a home playoff game. We are then two victories away from Detroit.

We control our destiny and a lot of the teams in the hunt have built in guaranteed losses. Only thing that can blow my theory is if 1 or 2 of the teams wins out and the other half fade completely and lose out the table.

Damn Eagles have potential to hurt us - by losing divisional games....Bring back TO!

I think we should be rooting against Seattle when they play our division and then hope we can take care of business and cement our spot in the playoffs.

A first round by would be a nice way to start the playoffs.

Nors, the Boys are going to have to be 12-4 or 11-5 AND beat carolina to get a bye. Seattle will probably be 12-4, Carolina may end up 12-4, 11-5. just looking at the schedules, thats the feeling i get. Cowboys cant afford to lose games, we need to go 6-1 from here on out to ensure we get a bye.

Carolina 7-2 Chicago, Atlanta, TB, Atlanta

They have the meat of their schedule ahead of them. I see all these teams clubbing each other.

I'll concede Seattle a #2 seed - we are only 1 game behind Carolina nad if we beat Carolina we carry tie breaker hammer. We are also 5-1 NFC - which is another tie breaker.

I think at end of day 11-5 will be a tie breaker for #2 seed - jmo after analyzing this. Thats a 5-2 finish.

Thursday we will be

8-3
7-4
6-5

This is a critical stretch.

Bottom line, we need to take of business at home and steal a road win or 2. I could easily see us going 4-3/5-2 over the final stretch. 2 rough road games against division rivals, a hard road game in Carolina and a tough home game versus Denver. IF we are meant to be a strong playoff team, we have to beat the Rams, Lions and Chiefs in our house. I think we match up well versus the deadskins as well and we should take them down by 10 or more this time around.

Bottom line, win the rest. No reason that we can't. We need to tighten up and get it all clicking, once again open up the offense early. & Kick some more *** on D.

Usually I am a great fan of having a bye week to start the POs. But after we played so poorly after our latest bye, maybe we'd be better off not having a bye week. I think the real prize is HFA, but I don't know if this team is ready to go 13-3. I'll feel a lot better about our PO capabilities if we take out Detroit AND Denver...

If you don't have a first round bye, you won't have home field advantage other than maybe the wild card game. The wild card winner plays AT the first round bye team. So, you're saying you'd rather play one at home and one on the road than just one at home??

I'll take a bye week and home game all day every day.

That loss to Seattle may end up losing us home field advantage

Yes - Seattle is in the drivers seat.

I like our chances at #2 seed. NFC Championship game at Seattle. Drew Bledsoe goes home - thats a good storyline

and we already know we can win there (last year, and near domination there this year...)

I would hate to go to Carolina for the championship game, I think we would have a good chance of losing, but going to Seattle would not be a problem at all - I think the players would be eager to take the bitter taste of Cortez' missed field goals and Bledsoe's little league pass out of their mouths.

You are right Nors - bunch of fun cmpared to last year...

statistics can eat me, we had seattle beat, and carolina is probably hottest team in NFC right now
