Gregg Rosenthal and others put this list together. Not only do I disagree with it but its just stupid and they should know better. At least Rosenthal had us near the middle. Yeah, I know we went 0-4 in the worthless preseason and our D is suspect but even if your a hater, and know a little about the NFL, you know we aren't next to last in the NFC. I'm beginning to think I know more about football than the analysts in the media...I know, it really shouldn't bother me but it just proves that in the NFL, your as good as your last game which is nonsense..........

Well, for once expectations seem to be low for the Cowboys. The combined intelligence of all the NFL.com writers has the Cowboys finished 15th out of 16 teams in the NFC -- only ahead of the Rams who enter the season without their starting QB.

It's up to the Cowboys to prove them wrong.

I understand that but any idiot knows for a fact we are better than at least a third of those teams............

Cowboys are better than the Giants, Commanders, Vikings, Buccaneers, Falcons, and Rams in the NFC; in my opinion.

I think it's dumb, too. For the hundredth time, yes, our D looks terrible. But our O should be great. Romo has to be a top-5 NFC QB at worst, and QB is half the battle.

I don't understand the logic behind this. With the worst defense in the entire nfl we still were in a week 17 win and in game. But somehow we dropped to the bottom of the nfc when our offense improved? LOL okay.

I wish I knew these guys in person, because I'd tell them if you're that confident we'll be the 2nd worst in the NFC then lets put 100$ on it. Put your money where your mouth is, no one in their right mind would have Dallas 2nd worse in the NFC when you have Romo. Don't get me wrong, I don't think we're a contender, but we're definitely not that bad, middle of the pack is where this team should be ranked until proven other wise.

I see the same old problems. Unable to stuff the run or defend the middle of the field versus the pass, overcome that and I'll feel a lot better about the team.

We already had a defense that was one of the worst of all time!! #3 worst of all time to be specific!!! And yet we still went 8-7 with our starting qb with that horrible defense. With an even better offense there is no way in God's earth we are the 2nd worst team in the nfc. I would put my paycheck up on that one.
