We already had a defense that was one of the worst of all time!! #3 worst of all time to be specific!!! And yet we still went 8-7 with our starting qb with that horrible defense. With an even better offense there is no way in God's earth we are the 2nd worst team in the nfc. I would put my paycheck up on that one.

Actually we would have been in the playoffs before the last game, but our HC costs us at least two games.

That abomination of a team we fielded in week 17 filled with street free agents. Yes I can confidently say that this team is better than that crap from last year

The Commanders have Desean Jackson, Pierre Garçon, Alfred Morris, Jordan Reed to name few on offense. That's nothing to sneeze at, as much as I can't stand them...

We have Dez Bryant, Terrance Williams, Demarco Murray, and Jason Witten on offense. That's nothing to sneeze or cough at. And their defense gave up more points than ours did last year. No way they are better than us period.

You're right, but if they tire of RG3. and move Cousins up, they will have a potent offense.

I see the same old problems. Unable to stuff the run or defend the middle of the field versus the pass, overcome that and I'll feel a lot better about the team.

Sims and Heath were the main issues in the middle of the field. Wilcox emerging would help this style of defense a lot. Last year when Lee and Carter were leaving the field it was Sims and Lawrence who were going in. Holloman got hurt very early. We don't have anyone with Lee's ability to challenge top QBs in pass coverage but even Hitchens with all his struggles is better than where Sims and Lawrence were last year. McClain is ahead of Hitchens. I don't see it getting as bad as it did the last 2 years.

Hayden starts at NT as long and as he is in there getting shoved around, the LB are going to struggle. Run defense on the DE should be okay. Mincey, Selvie, and Crawford are all good run defenders. Melton and Coleman should be at least adequate if not much better at the undertackle.

Moore at nickel corner with Patmon behind him bothers me as does being one S injury away from the Heath show again.

I don't understand the logic behind this. With the worst defense in the entire nfl we still were in a week 17 win and in game. But somehow we dropped to the bottom of the nfc when our offense improved? LOL okay.

Speculation on Romo's back and age most likely. I've read somewhere that Witten won't be as good because he is getting older and has to be slowing down. That was literally the explination.
