NFC Seeding

I would get excited, but this anemic offense ain’t winning against the Cardinals. The way the Cardinals played today was an anomaly and an outlier. Pack also has to lose another game. Browns may do that, but I’m not sure.
So wait boys beat a team 21-6, cards get crushed by a 1 win team, and your take from this us boys won’t beat AZ.. make it make sense

There is no division-record tiebreaker for teams in different divisions. But yeah, we have the conference record tiebreaker on them as long as we win out (and if we don't, the odds of a two-way tie with GB are really small).

It’s how well you did in your respective divisions. I.e Dallas will finish 6-0 against the nfc East and the Packers have already lost an nfc north game against the Vikings so their best case scenario is 5-1, so we would win that tiebreaker as well.

If we win out, we win all tiebreakers except the one with TB if we are the only 13-4 teams.
We win the conference record tiebreaker against anyone.
If we don't win out, well, a lot of teams have to lose a lot of games to get us into a tie with only GB, and then it would depend on what games GB lost (they still have AFC games to play, we don't).
Thank you for your reply. I assumed we would win the tie breaker with GB, but wasn’t sure. The TB loss really stings. Too bad our kicker crapped the bed on opening night.

Having the bye is huge, but being home has always felt as as disadvantage for the boys

No, there is no division tiebreaker for teams that aren't in the same division. There's only a division tiebreaker for breaking a tie within a division.

You can see the NFL tiebreaking procedures here: https://www.nfl.com/standings/tie-breaking-procedures

Where did you come up with that one?

ohhhh I see what you’re saying. I was looking at the tiebreakers for teams in the same division. Okay yeah in that case it would be conference record

Through week 14 this season, home teams are 104-104. And I believe it's 6-6 so far this week.
HFA seems to be disappearing.

The one thing we don’t want is a two way tie with the bucs. Certainly crossed my mind back then that losing to all those afc teams was a good thing.

I'd be shocked if we got the one seed. I don't know if there's a team on GB's schedule that can beat them. The Browns are the best shot, but both the Vikings and Detroit are basically speed bumps.

The Rams can win out, which gives us a shot at the two seed. But they close out with some tough opponents, including the finale against the Niners.

I think the three seed is the most likely spot for us right now.
They already lost to one of those speed bumps.

Buccaneers and Cowboys appear to have the best chance to finish 13-4.
TB - @ CAR, @ NYJ, CAR....DAL - WAS, ARI, @ PHL.

Packers host Browns and Vikings before ending regular season at the Lions. 14-3.

I think whoever wins the NFC West could finish 12-5...or even 11-6.
Rams - Seahawks, @ Vikings, @ Ravens, 49ers.
Cardinals - Colts, @ Cowboys, Seahawks.

We are technically the two seed but we don’t control our destiny in keeping the spot or getting to no.1.

Well, last week they got crushed by the Rams. It wasn’t as close as the stats might lead you to believe.

Cards had like 160 yards of offense and two scores in the fourth quarter when the game was already out of reach.

They are struggling right now.

Ravens were close to beating the Packers too. We still gotta beat the Cards or nothing else matters.

I believe we are the 3 seed now. I am open to being corrected, but I think TB has us in tie breaker.

Need to take care of business and let others drop games down the stretch.

Playoff games at home are way easier:starspin:

Edit: We are the 2 seed!!!

Thanks for the correction.
What a year. Last year we were upset that we were winning games and out of the Trevor Lawrence sweepstakes and as of right now we are the number 2 seed.

I hoped for a rebound year but never expected this. I'm grateful and I'm having fun.

Going for 2 wasn't the problem. Cutting the field in half for your backup undrafted second-year QB on the actual conversion play was the problem.
Totally agree! I think everyone in that stadium was waiting for Huntley to run and I believe that was the call if there was room.

As long as wwre the 2 i am hapy..happy...means we won't go in the road till the nfcc
