Sounds like a resonable thing to feel bad about:confused:

Most teams know when opponent team players get injured and gage what impact the injury will create. Wait ...were you being facetious:rolleyes:

Are you referring to the same Jerome McDougle that was not on the 2005 Eagle Roster??

I could tell waste time explaining that our 1st team was not on the field long enough to make a difference, I could tell you about TO and the Impact he had On the team, and I could waste further time proving you wrong by researching the Eagles 2005 game record -- pre-McNabb, and other significant 1st team player injuries ...but I won't!

You don't have your facts straight. You're so inexperienced as a fan, that you fail to realize that You don't have to be a Cowboys fan to have football saavy. You seem to be so unfocused on arbitrary facts and hatred for the Eagles that you haven't even realized that my thread is really saying that not only should there have been more Dallas Cowboy fans as probowlers, but you should have made the playoffs also!

But I'm not mad at ya! I see you as the type of fan that's trying to build up your reputation in the eyes of more senior well-respect Cowboy fans, but displaying your outward hatred for the Eagles; coulped with your distain for any attempt by an Eagle's fan to try and defend an obviously non-defendable year ...what a concept!

Do me a favor before you reach out to me again ...look at some of the responses from your more experienced Cowboy fans [NOTE: They are completely "on-topic"]!;)

Hey, thanks for the condescending, holier than thou response! My post was mostly dedicated to your assertion that this "healthy" Dallas Cowboys team should have made the playoffs. Also mentioned was your opinion that the Cowboys, unlike the Eagles, couldn't point to injuries as the reason they didn't go. Because, as we all know, the Eagles were the ONLY team in the NFL, to have to deal with significant injuries. It couldn't just possibly be that they weren't very good. That, even before they had significant losses on the offensive side of the ball, the defense played like **** anyway, leading to some shootout losses. It couldn't just be that Andy Reid, that coaching genius, lost his mind, and begin calling 80% pass plays during the course of the season.

No, only the Eagles had to deal with such horrifying injuries. Because, how else do you explain completely falling off the face of the earth, without admitting that their window of opportunity, has closed?

Which Panthers players excluding Steve Smith would you want on your team with their current offensive and defensive schemes and why ?

The list will be short. They are coached very well. They have a ton of heart. Dont get me wrong I think Mike Rucker is a great guy and player. Thomas Davis has nothing but potential stud written all over him. But thats about it.

Overrated and over hyped. Bears played in the weakest division in football with an amazing D, if they get that offense moving the ball they will be a very good team. Giants have Eli, he is a liability at this point. A healthy Giants D would have beat Carolina senseless.

S&T it's not a matter of how many "stud" players that makes a team. This team of nobodies have managed to get to the NFC championship 2 out of the past 3 years, and once to the superbowl. That's not called being overrated, it's called being sucessful. And like you stated good coaching and alot of heart is the key.

The bears limited Carolina to only 3 points during the regular season so what happened to them in the playoffs? And I would agree that the Bears defense was over hyped when the Media kept comparing them to the 85 bears defense. Not even close IMO.....

The Giants were pretty much unbeatable at home this year. Carolina not only shut them down it was NY's first playoff shutout in 20 years. They shutdown the running game and took Plaxico out of the Giants equation. Again good coaching and game planning.

Good Coaching and game planning goes along way. The Commanders game planed pretty good down the stretch to make the playoffs. Outside of Moss, the list would be pretty small of actual players I would want. But I definetly wouldn't overrate the team. I tipped my hat to them for going as far as they did when most had given up on them.

Which brings us back to my orginal point. Parcells done a terrible job game planning down the stretch. The only game the team played with any fire and actually had some kind of game plan was at Carolina. When it was must win.

Wow, S&T, you might want to reconsider that post. First, did anyone mention Julius Peppers in response to who you'd want off the Panthers besides Smith? And to say that the Giants would have killed them with a healthy D... That's just silly speculation. Carolina is an extremely sound team that can beat anyone... But it's tough when your best defensive player is hurt and your top three RBs -- especially on a ball-control team -- are all out. How would the Skins do with their fourth-string running back?
