Oh boy, I'm on pins and needles waiting to hear what the upgrades consist of.

Not really, I'm sure it will end up being something dumb.[/QUOTE

More artwork for Gene... for obvious reasons Jerry can't say no.

What in the world????
You need the owners permission to upgrade your own stadium?
In what universe does this make sense???

It is approval to use NFL funds, such as shared ticket sales / revenue. Or something like that.
Reduced gate receipts to visiting team is also in there.
Many other teams have done this also, so it is nothing special for Jerry or he is not ripping off the fans in anyway.
It is within the NFL rules and guidelines.

The City of Arlington owns AT&T stadium. Jerry pays 2 million a year plus a half million from the naming rights. That goes straight into the city's general fund.

I would have thought the city would be the entity to approve of any upgrades.

Yep, I did not know about the revenue sharing angle when I posted the question.

They don't even need to be "blackout". As long as they cut the light short of blinding, that's plenty.

If other teams can pipe in crowd noise on our road games, I think we should make those blinds open and close at our convenience.

They can't pipe in crowd noise legally, unless that rule was changed.

I didn't think so but there were a few teams that did so allegedly. That has made the board a couple times, in the past cause I remember thinking it's sum real bs.

They did it recently? I remember one or two teams getting caught many years ago, but I haven't heard of it since then.
