I've seen 45 minutes of his play, all on one long highlight video that I watched after we drafted him. Prior to that I barely knew his name.
You barely knew his name? Even those who don't follow the college game knew his name. Well most people, anyway. I live in Michigan so I saw plenty of Big 10 action. That's why when Roger Goodell said "The Dallas Cowboys select Eze...", all I needed to hear was the first two syllables and I screamed and went berserk. My neighbors are used to me going crazy, but I wonder if they have figured out it's about the Cowboys.

I don't watch college football. I stay away from draft threads because I don't watch college football and I don't want to waste time looking at players we won't ever have on the team. I literally barely knew his name before the draft.

Speed, power, vision. I think it's gonna be a monster rookie year for him.

Yeah, I think most fans of a BIG team new who he was for the last couple years. I'm guilty of not really following teams outside of that conference though. I have despised OSU for years...their fans are easily the most arrogant entitled people that I have encountered for a college game...both in Iowa City and Columbus. That being said, now that Zeke is a Cowboy I softened my dislike for them. ;-)

I know one of those fans. lol Most annoying person. Good guy as long as you don't mention college sports but once you do it becomes a OSU is the best in the world.

On the opposite end of that is Michigan. We were there for a game and the whole weekend was awesome. Their fans were friendly and welcoming. In my opinion the Big House is not nearly as intimidating as the Horseshoe for a visiting team though.

One of the things that Demarco Murray always did that many did not realize if you only watch the games on tv but he talked a lot. He used to get everyone going. It was a regular thing during the 13 and 14 seasons for murray to get up and get into it with a pile of guys. Zeke showed the same thing last night. Same physical nature and I think throughout the course of the game it is going to be a real positive for this team.

That game in 13 vs denver Murray was fighting defensive lineman after every play. He didn't take crap from anyone. If zeke has the same mentality it will really help the team.

Don't forget the play where he puts the EaGirls DL on turf.

Ditto to this. I follow my alma mater and that's about it.

I'm a big Chancellor fan, but I loved the physicality from Zeke.

The hit Kam got flagged on was a definite "welcome to the NFL" moment.

I don't follow college football that closely and I would hazard a guess that I'm not the only fan who was ignorant to his game. Top 4 pick or not. lol
I didn't used to until 5 years ago and I came back to college and watch it all day long. I just recently signed on here but on my former forum I drove posters nuts talking about this kid. I am primarily a SEC junkie but I will watch certain teams and players outside the conference.

The first game I watched with Zeke playing I was watching to see what all the buzz about Bosa, maybe do a little unpaid and unwanted scouting for our D, and in the Q1 the OLB comes on a blitz and Zeke knocks him backwards, I thought I was watching Sweetness again. You could see the shock on the LB''s face as he got up. He went around 240 and he just stopped in his tracks and fell backwards. That's 240lbs coming at full speed with Zeke being stationary and he stopped him cold. I jumped up when that happened, basically in shock, almost in as much as the LB, and just made a mental note. Man, wouldn't that kid be great protection in our backfield?

Later in the game he made a one handed catch going across the middle and never broke stride. He's real and he's the total package, we just have to keep him healthy because he has no fear. The more I thought about him in our offense, the more I concluded we couldn't pick a better defensive player.

His college coach, a good one, said he's the best player he's ever seen without the ball.

When you get a chance, check out the Draft Zone. For those folks who are 24-hour draftniks, that's the place to be. However, the Sports Zone is where folks talk college football and other sports.

I'm totally out the loop on who the "name" players even down to Heisman candidates. I'm too busy to get into it. That said, I wasn't unhappy with the pick either. I thought it was a sensible enough pick.
