NFL.com Celebrates "Cowboys Blunders"

Good lord the constant media hate for this team is getting old. They couldn't celebrate the 4th by making a positive Cowboys video? Why does it have to be negative? I'm especially surprised to keep seeing it come fron NFL.com and NFLN which are owned by the league towards their bread and butter team.

It's the sports media version of "Made you look!" :D

I left a comment on the article:

This is completely unprofessional - in fact, I would wonder if it comes close to violating terms of contract or legal franchise/business conduct. Why would a league see fit to put an attack/ridicule story on its official website, heaping scorn on one of its own member teams (out of 32 franchises?) Can you imagine MLB.com putting up an article on its official website, saying, "Let's celebrate this national holiday by making fun of the Orioles?" Can you imagine President Obama saying, in an official White House press conference, "Today is a great day - Let's celebrate America's birthday by making fun of Minnesota?"

And I intend to continue pressing this matter with NFL.com until they address it.

I think they have done blunders for about 17 or 18 teams so far and intend to do them for all 32.

Looks like they didn't like your comment.

Seen these for other teams to, we're not being singled out. It's just that no one cares enough to notice when it's someone else :laugh2:

The comments section is blowing up on this article on NFL.com. Just by looking at the first 9 pages of it....Rank is getting bashed about 4 times to one about the article. Most of it from Cowboy fans but then there will be a fan of another team who hates it also. Then of course you have Packer fan who is suddenly front and center about the America's Team debate and then the delusional skin fan along with Steeler fan cracking on the Cowboys. But so far Dallas supporters are outnumbering the haters.

Then I missed it. If that's the case, then good. I can't imagine "Celebrate Bucs Blunders" being one of the features that shows up fairly prominently on that website, but I guessed I missed it. Were they featured the same way? Were they "celebrating" other franchise's misfortune? We're all used to this nonsense anyway, but it would surprise me to see other team's low points "celebrated" on that website.

Haha. Someone brings in the facts and makes others look silly.

Methinks people need to ease up off their persecution complex. When you're the most high profile team in the league (and arguably in the country) then everything you do, good or bad, is going to be magnified moreso than everyone else.

Relax. It's football.

You're right: That would never happen. And you want to know why? Because no one gives a rat's *** about the Orioles.

But when you're simultaneously the most beloved and the most despised team in the league, some people are going to take shots at you. I have no idea why something like this would ever make a Cowboys fan upset. I love the hate.

Exactly.

Positive Cowboys pieces don't generate nearly the amount of feedback as negative Cowboys pieces.

You'd think this was Groundhog Day instead of Independence Day because Cowboys fans react the same way every time there's an unexplainable negative story on the Cowboys.

For the record, I have felt the whole blunder series was kind of dull and unimaginative.

The hate means you're relevant.
