We could use a little spending spree this year. Forget about the comp picks and sign few guys.

GHardy, Weddle/Berry, 1T, SAM, Bern, CB, QB2, WR4 with speed*

* some can be found in the draft

I would be good with Weddle, Mebane and re-sign of Hardy myself.

How I view these guys

Not going anywhere, don't get your hopes up.
1. Von Miller
4. Alshon Jeffery
5. Cordy Glenn
6. JPP
11. Russell Okung
14. Kirk Cousins
17. Danny Trevathan
19. Brock Osweiler

Unlikely to leave
2. Josh Norman- I would put him above, but I've read reports that Carolinas GM has no intentions to pay what it would now cost on a long term deal. He probably gets the tag.
20. Derrick Johnson- His age probably keeps the contract low enough and short enough for the cheapskate Chiefs to keep him. I don't think he goes anywhere.

50-50
7. Eric Berry- the Chiefs are a cheap team. As cheap as there is in the NFL. As young and as good as he is, Im not sure they will want to pay what it will cost to keep him. As young and as good as he is, I'm not sure they let him go either. Toss up for me.

8. Malik Jackson-Like the article says, career year in a contract year. They also probably don't have the space meeded to keep him after retaining Miller. Add in Trevathan, Ware, Talib, and the other highly paid defensive players and he's probably just a cap casualty.

9. Doug Martin- Has had his ups and downs along with the ACL. Really don't have a good feel for what they do with him, but I tend to lean towards him staying.

18. Janoris Jenkins

Expected to hit the market

3. Muhammad Wilkerson- The Jets have a lot of money tied up in the defense, were rumored to be shopping him and have a lot of resources to be ok with losing him. I think he's gone.

10. Bruce Irvin- Another cap casualty. Seahawks can't keep everyone.

12. Eric Weddle- SD showed no interest in wanting to extend him. They were also rumored to be shopping him and rumored to have no interest in meeting his demands.

13. Sam Bradford- He hasn't fit the Chip system. If Chip stays, I think he is gone next year.

15. Matt Forte- Age, Injury, Workload... You name it, he's got it. They've been investing in other RBs and look to have found a solid replacement in Langford.

16. Andre Smith- The Bengals invested a ton of resources from this past draft on the OL. I think they move on.

These lists always mean very little at this time of year. Most of these guys will stay put and never even hit the market. I would have varying degrees of interest in Norman, Berry, Weddle, Jenkins and Wilkerson and Martin.

Norman, Berry and Wilkerson are the guys I would really go hard after if they hit the market in that order.

Just a quick look but I would be interested in Lamar Miller and maybe Prince A in FA

We just need an average to slightly above average 1-Tech that can occasionally disrupt the pocket and command double teams...

I would pursue Berry but if his price is high I would stay away.

But the approach should be to sign solid role players that will not hurt Dallas' cap. Get your stars in the draft.

What's it going to be then, eh?

After Wilkerson ransacks us Saturday night, I think a lot more people will start coveting him.
