If I'm Jerry, I'm pushing hard for Eric Berry.

And, sneaky name on there is Derrick Johnson. He's getting a bit long in the tooth but he is and outstanding player. Might be cheap because of his age, and he's a Texas guy.

Hopefully this team will smarten up a little this offseason and realize everyone doesn't have to be 26 or younger! It's ok to have some usable Vets in here sometimes.

Look at Carolina.

Can't say that I've really watched Berry but anything is better than Church and Wilcox. I wonder if he returns to KC as a sign of thanks for supporting him during his illness?
I hate these lists because by the type free agency actually hits, the list is a lot shorter.

Kirk Cousins please ... been waiting his free agency for years now...let Romo go and get Cousins ...

I Know I know it's crazy .. but we are in winning and planning business here
1- old QB vs young QB.
2- injured depleted QB vs healthy clean QB
3- so-and-so arm QB vs strong arm QB
4- Take great QB prospect from division rival and set them back 10 years back while setting yourself for the future

Romo grew in my eyes a lot the past few years while i was anti-Romo .. but in this business you have to put emotions aside .. add his name to the ROH and thank you a lot for all your effort ...

Kirk and Dez ... sound yummy though :)

step in Captain Kirk

I would just stay away from High Priced Free Agents. Once they get their money then they put it on Cruise Control We need players who are hungry and have the desire to play 60 Minutes without having any issues. Build from the draft with a sprinkle a few Middle of the Road Free Agent bargains. Furthermore, until we get a competent HC and assistant Coaches, it is all a waste of time because they do not know how to put the players in a position to succeed. Money does not buy success and this has been proven by Jerry many times.

We're not going to get a defensive tackle of note. Let's just face it.

Rod Marinelli has the same philosophy with defensive tackles as I have with women.

1. No one else can want them.
2. 270 lbs is ideal.

Most of those players will be resigned by their current teams, or franchised. The ones that aren't, will want big money, more than Dallas has shown they are willing to pay.
There are a few on the list that would definitely help. And other won't help as much as we think they would.

Martin sounds interesting but I prefer to draft a RB in the 1st 2 rounds.
Berry I could see also.

Too early to tell anyway, as that is just a list of someones top 20, many others out there to look at once season is over, for all teams, not come Saturday night. LOL.

even a Knighton or Fairley would work on short deals

This team just doesn't value safeties.

Berry would be a game changer, would instantly make the corners better and FINALLY provide a ball hawk in the middle of the secondary that can also play at the line of scrimmage.

We face some pretty good QBs and offenses next year (AFC North/NFC North). Would feel a lot better with Eric Berry and Byron Jones back there going against Big Ben, Dalton, Flacco, Rodgers, etc.

We've tried the cheap FS, 1T and RB route and it hasn't paid off.

We need to spend some money and draft picks and upgrade those spots.

I predict a very big year for the Cowboys in free agency. Both children and adults on this site will be happy. :D

I'm of the mind that resigning Hardy is a must. Having Scandrick back will be a boost too. Having him and Jones on the field together will be a good thing.

On offence we need a high quality B/U QB and a stud RB. I'm hoping to get one or the other from the draft and the other from free agency.

Yes, I will be screaming for Eric Berry until the very second it is announced he signs somewhere else. To go from the stiff, slow, bad angle-taking safeties we had, to a stud like Berry would be like discovering a new world.

I'd also like us to move on from Carr & Claiborne and replace them with guys like Brandon Boykin & Trumaine Johnson.
