Bell and Brown are really good and Big Ben is top 15 but I wouldn't put them above what we have right now.

They are. But they're not better than the Cowboys three. Not this season. Being statistically ranked is great, but those statisical rankings haven't translated to victories, which, to me, is an indication that a team could be putting up numbers but those numbers aren't translating into wins. I'm going to put the team whose offense contributes to wins as being a better Triplett than a team that merely amasses numbers.

And if we're going to hold Romo to the standard that as good as he does with numbers, he's at fault even because of his defense. Then, the same standard should be applied to Roethlisberger and co.

At least that's my take.

Bell has 378 yards, 1TD. Murray has 534 yards, 5 TDs. They have similar YPCs (though Murray's is still higher), but they don't really have similar production. Murray's clearly ahead of the RB pack after four games, whether it's because of his OL, or not.

Remember, none of these arguments are adjusted for the relative strength of the team's OLs.

Idgit, I think its closer that you think:

Murray has 602 yards rushing/receiving and is averaging 5.5 yards per touch

Bell has 570 yards rushing/receiving and is averaging 5.7 yards per touch.

Murray has 32 more total yards so far and is averaging slightly less yards per touch than Bell.

Both these guys are awesome and you couldn't complain about either, however, since we are debating on a internet forum I'll put forward the opinion that I think Bell has a higher ceiling. Heck is only 22 -- he is just a pup.

I think Bell and Murray would be interchangeable in this offense, Bell may produce more because of his receiving threat. I'd take Dez and Romo over Brown and Big Ben individually.

Bell has similar production but has a terrible offensive line and a limited passing game around him. He's been more impressive this year, imo.

Bell has been great.
Murray has been better rushing it though

You're right. It is closer than I thought when you factor in the receiving. And I love Bell, and would take him over Murray right now, too, all things considered, especially when you factor in his age.

I still think Murray makes a better Triplet, though, because of his current production and status as league leader, and because of the scores on long runs this year. He and Dez just have star power that magnifies their status. Or else my Homer is sticking out. That happens sometimes, too.

Same with Denver being 3.

Bell has done NOTHING.

They're still banking on Manning to shoulder the load and win the big one. If that's the way they want to go............... their defense better be lights out.

You mean Ball? Bell is on Pit

I'd rank him over Roethlisberger, any way. And I don't think there's any doubt that Murray and Dez are better options than Bell and Brown.

I think Bell is a better running back but Dez is so much farther ahead it's not close.

The All-Time list is laughable too. No way the Patriots team of Brady, Maroney and Moss or Manning, Mareno and Thomas should be listed above Staubach, Dorsett and Pearson; Peyton Manning, Edgerrin James & Marvin Harrison; Steve Young, Ricky Watters & Jerry Rice or John Elway, Terrell Davis & Rod Smith.

These young guys seem like they have no understanding of NFL history. Besides, it's called the "Tripletts," which implies that all three players had an impact on the offense. Maroney? Mareno? Pulease.

How about Staubach, Thomas, and The Bullet

Thomas was good, but he had such a short career in the NFL. But I'd still take that trio over some of the ones they listed. :)

Really? Not even close? Even a little bit? I think Dez is better but I can't say it's not even close, Brown is very good. Check his stats this year and last.

How do you average 3 yards per carry and be considered a part of a trio?

Demaryus Thomas for Denver is 3rd on the team in yards. He's not even the guy with the last name of Thomas with the most receiving yards on the team. And he doesn't even have half the yards the leading receiver on the team has.

Cowboys rode Duane to two Superbowls. The original 33 was a big RB but he was so smooth and fast. Once thought to be the next Jim Brown. He is definitely worthy of being mentioned when nobodies like Moreno and Ball are on that list.

Absolutely. He has been for the last 5 years or so.

I'm a bigger believer in Romo than most, but top 5 was being conservative. At this point, right now, I'd take Peyton and Rodgers over him, and that's about it.

You would take Romo over Brees? Romo over Stafford? Romo over Luck? Uh, no.

He was my First Round pick, too. I'm sitting here, staring at my fantasy team, and my astounding 1-3 record. A tear rolls down my cheek.

I guess this is what it feels like to be a Saints fan.

Or a bad Fantasy player. Did you do it on a dare? We're there 30 other players in you draft and you were picking 30? :omg:

If I had to win one game, right now, yea. Luck I could see an argument but I don't think Brees has ever been as good as Romo...neither has Stafford.
