NFL Countdown is reporting Jets and Cowboys pursuing Sparano **Merge**

The sign that Garrett is dropping his ego and realizing he's not half as smart as he thought he was is the best sign yet.

Well if Garrett would get over his massive ego and realize he can't do it alone Jerry wouldn't need to impose an OC. Garrett is in over his head, his fans can love him all they want, but he made far too many mistakes. Taking a little off his plate would be a GOOD thing. The other HC's in the league that call their plays actually had an extensive coaching career prior to taking over a team.

And sorry his time as a backup QB doesn't make up for it. If he was a genius, our offense wouldn't lay so many eggs with the talent we have.

Good point. I don't know that a learning curve wasn't to be seen anyway.

If Jerrah would get over his massive ego he'd hire a GM, wouldn't have ran off Jimmy and Bill, and would have never hired Campo, Phillips, Switzer and Gailey as puppet head coaches.

If Garrett wants him fine, if Jerrah is forcing it, then it is a issue. If Jerry doesn't like the job Garrett is doing fire him.

Cant do that cause it is his guy. That would make him look even more like a bumbling idiot. That is OK, he'll sacrafice another season over his own ego.

He is a bumbling idiot and it amazes me how many people here defend him.

I wouldn't even mind if he retained play calling, but at-least hiring an OC to help with game planning and adjustments would be a huge step forward. And hopefully help quicken that curve.

It was posted in this thread that Jerrah was forcing it per Mort. No issue with the hire, I have a huge issue if Teh Jerrah is forcing it.

Yet before mort posted that there was reports Jason had interest in Sprano coming back to Dallas :bang2::bang2::bang2:

So guess what who spin is right I think they are throwing stuff at the walls and trying to create drama to sale ads eyeballs etc etc

Where did you get this from? I listen to the interviews/pressers and read all the articles and don't recall this news anywhere.

You can keep believing everything they say to the media. Running down to the sideline to tell ginger what to do speaks volumes no matter how much homers want to rationalize it. Garrett is another puppet coach.

If jerry was brash enough to force TO on Parcells, he'll force anyone he darn well pleases onto Garrett.

Seriously, I don't know why anybody would ever engage ccboy in a debate on anything. He basically says the same thing whether it's about the Cowboys, the weather, the price of gas, politics, etc... No point in getting your blood pressure up.

blah,blah,blah,burnbarrel,blah,blah,blah,ripple,blah,blah,blah,BURNBARREL!!

I have never before witnessed somebody trying so hard to sound smart, inserting endless little snippets of supposed wisdom, only to completely accomplish the opposite.

The ignore function was invented for ccboy. Makes reading so much more enjoyable. But when people quote him..... ~sigh~ I fully expect this post to be deleted, and I'm sure I'll get my wrist slapped. Oh, well. I've said my piece on the subject.

Even though you're a hokie.

You mean like Sean Peyton who had his duties pulled from him (in NY) and was crucified in Dallas by fans like you and struggled a few years in NO before everything got where he wanted it and they won a Super Bowl after he made some bad in game calls the years prior.

I mean come on people over react and analyze everything because he did not do things the way you wanted it done. Also how do you know he had did not have guys he wanted but where locked up in other jobs last year.

I am sorry you have no clue if it is ego or anything else you are making assumptions you want to make about Jason because you did not like the hire and what happen this year to the team.

So this was just your spin and not actual real news. Got it.

Hmm.

1st place in the NFC South and a NFC Championship Game trip in his first season is now considered "struggled a few years" by the Garrett apologists. I like that one.

Let me stop you there, Sean Payton went 10-6 and took the Saints to the NFC Championship game in his first season as head coach. If thats struggling, what is Garrett doing?

Haha an 8-8 record with that schedule says more about you garrett apologists spinning things than the other way around. Good try though.

And worth adding, your (Kangaroo's previous post) example actually has an offensive coordinator on his staff. As does McCarthy in Green Bay. If they can acknowledge the need for somebody to help out in that area despite their extensive resumes and super bowl rings, why can't the boy wonder? If its not ego, then what is it?

The fact that our coach isn't half as smart as he thought he was (and we were sold) is a good sign?

It is nice to see all the usual ginger apologists jump in this thread to support him though. It's very cute.

Almost like y'all have a Robin signal to descend in.

WE were not sold actually. People with 100,000+ posts don't represent the entire forum.
