When they did squat in FA at DT, that was a sign again that they simply don’t value the position.

No matter how many times its fails, they refuse to change their strategy.

That's right. This draft was so deep at DT that we saw there was no need to draft one before the seventh.

The UCLA DT looks interesting. That the thing, those big run stuffing DT are typically third day guys. Cowboys made the mistake that Mazi had pass rush ability. He doesn’t. He also isn’t very good in the run so far.

QB and DT mean nothing to this FO. Priority on those 2 positions left when Jimmy left.

Fine with the blue pick. I just hoped he would have been paired with another higher tier running back.

Don’t know anything about the Clemson back but some of the guys that went in the 4th would have been preferred for me. But we got Mingo.

I think they would tell you that they value the position because they spend a first on Mazi and made Odighizuwa a high-paid DT.

They don't truly understand the importance of it and settle for good instead of great.

Yeah, steady draft. Maybe a B-.
Like the 2 double dips, absolutely stunk no WR early for the offense. They can lie all they want about having a # 2 already on the team.
That's the big fail.
As with last year, the no 4th bit them hard, and cost them better players.
It used to be Jerry and his injured 2nd rounders, now it's just trade away a 4th for nothing, and suffer the consequences !

Well, I wanted them to take two DTs and two RBS, at least, and they did that. But I expected something different. Two 7th round DTs is not exactly how I would address the biggest weakness on the team, especially in a draft loaded with DT talent. Same for the RBs. I thought they could have addressed both positions a little better. They needed 3 or 4 starters out of this draft and they got 2 maybe 3. Booker is the starters becasue he is the 1st round pick. Ezeiruaku will be a rotational DE but we may see Williams, Ezeiruaku and Parsons all on the field together on passing downs.

Revel will start I think once he is fully healed. But Toia has an excellent shot at getting playing time if he brings anything to the table. Blue will get some snaps I am sure. Can't keep that kind of speed on the bench.

It's not that bad of a draft. But I would have reversed the order they drafted the positions. I would have taken the DTs and RB first and found the other positions later.

Much like the QB position with Dak, they don’t want any DTs coming in to push their 1st round pick Mazi for a job.

They understand the importance, they just don’t know how to evaluate it worth a crap…

I think they see DT as “can he rush the passer and can he blow up the run behind the line” instead of seeing it as “can he occupy 2 blockers and keep the linebackers clean during the run, and on passes can he command a double team or push the pocket back”

Very deep DT and RB draft and we didn't end up with either in regards to top end prospects
