Draft Day ***NFL Draft First Round thread***

Not really wild he’s there. A lot of pundits had him 20-40. He’s not the slam dunk prospect most here think. His value was ballooned by his play in nationally televised games in the CFB and fans wanting a DT. In reality, the kid wasn’t even a starter. Inconsistent rotational guys are seldom high picks.

He’s got talent and traits for sure but he’s not a finished product by any means.

Yeah, I know. I just also live in Alabama and, even though I'm an Auburn grad I know how much Alabama players get overdrafted. He's a solid talent, probably deserves a mid to late 2nd. I just figured he'd get a bait bite in the 1st. Saban's a master at getting coaches to take his guys, that's why Alabama is Alabama.

Woooooooooooaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!! Payton Turner to the Saints? Didn't see that coming! Oh my goodness!!!

For me, I think 44 is too early for a DT who brings no pass rush....Quinn brought in run stoppers in FA. However, Adebo has been one of my favs for weeks.

Imo, McNeil is a really good run stopper, but I'd go Grant, Shelvin, and Adebo happily.

of course not. The organization is a terribly run organization. Anything goes because anything goes with the family that owns the team.

I was more referring to Michael Irvin. My point is I just hope he is a monster on the field and doesn't become an off the field issue. I feel very confident about the former.

Green Bay takes...Eric Stokes...wow...did not think he would go in first

I know what you were referring to. Irvin was not an issue off the field until 96 at least not publicly anyway. He attacked a teammate with scissors and nobody cared.

Thats who the cowboys are. Anything goes 24/7...We make money and the circus keeps going.
