Whatever else he's got going on you can see the Klingon side of the family. I wonder if he has tried Ancestry.com?

I think I'll drop this nugget here. It sounds like the NFLPA is about to bring hell down upon the NFL, which isn't surprising. However, in the link below there's a tidbit I found interesting. It sounds like the NFL really messed up in that statement they released accusing the NFLPA of "victim-shaming." According this the author's opinion, by referring the accuser as a victim, and not an alleged victim, the NFL has open themselves to be sued by Elliot for libel since there's no legal finding of Zeke's guilt therefore no victim.

“Over the past few days we’ve received multiple reports of the NFLPA spreading derogatory information to the media about the victim in Ezekiel Elliott discipline case,” the NFL said in a statement in mid-August. “It’s a common tactic to attempt to prove the innocence of the accused by discrediting the victim — in this case Ms. Thompson — when coming forward to report such abuse.”

Notice how the NFL left out “alleged” when referring to the woman claiming that Elliott abused her? Elliott was never charged in the case, which makes any stance other than claiming him to be an alleged abuser libelous in the court of law.

We can rest assured that Kessler, Elliott and the NFLPA know this full well. It will be part of what promises to be a nuclear option set forth by the Elliott camp against the NFL in court."

Nice to know the new Supreme Court judge could have an impact on my life and happiness this early in his new job.

Shefter said on Mike and Mke this morning that the sense he is getting from the people he is talking to that there is going to be a reduction in Zeke's suspension and it will be do to the evidence that is coming out at the appeal.

Did you hear the whole interview? When Greenie talked about the other players suspended for domestic violence. The most was Hardy for 4 games. Zeke needs to fight for zero games. I am so sick of the media acting like he did it.

Yep. Has anyone but Zeke been given 6 games under the new policy? It seems there have been 5 or 6 players actually arrested and/or charged with DV since the new policy was enacted and none were given 6 games. Now you have a player who wasn't arrested or charged and because he has the audacity to proclaim his innocence, he gets the maximum 6 games. I think a lawyer would have a field day with this entire situation. There is clear bias and disparate treatment and I'm not sure US labor law allows such different treatment of employees under a CBA. It is certainly going to be interesting to follow.

But why isn't the media talking about this? The media is acting like there is a video of Zeke punching Tiffany. Are they really afraid of victim shaming. This would have been thrown out of criminal court.

Going off memory, but there was an article about alleged DV and NFL players, and most of them have been lower tier players up till Zeke. Sort of incidents where the team just cuts the player and no teams wants to touch said player due to DV and being more of a backup at best.

Jonathan Dwyer I think only got 3 games from the NFL(2014), but the Cardinals deactivated him and that was his last year in the NFL.

Rodney Austin got 6 games from his DV case. He was arrested and charged. Not sure about conviction. He was cut.

Because they have a social agenda and Zeke has found himself on the wrong side of it. The truth and evidence don't matter, only the narrative that fits the agenda. I have another question. After the race based comment she made came out, where are the Jesse Jacksons and Al Sharptons of the world? Here you have a clear case of a young successful black man being railroaded by someone using her/his race as an issue. Why no outrage?

It's going to be interesting to see what the Elliott party does if the suspension is reduced to say something like 2 games. How important is clearing his name? Would he fight the two games or just suck it up and take the penalty?

It's not all the media. I've seen articles on CBS and other places questioning how the NFL arrived at the decision they arrived at. Also, a lot of the talking head shows have also raised questions about what the NFL did here.

It seems the most vocal for the NFL here are those like Christine Brennan and a few other op ed types who are wired like her.

I'd still play the game if I was him. I'd go after an injunction allowing me to play and then I'd drop the suit and take the suspension at the point in the season that was most advantageous to the team. A final thumb in the eye of the NFL.

He needs to have it so he isn't facing a lifetime ban and that is for them to take the DV off the table. If they want to suspend him a couple of games for everything else than fine.

No chance I take the 2 games. That admits guilt and he has a permanent target on his back. One more mistake and out of the league? If he's innocent which I believe he is. I take this as far as I possibly can. No way a real court sees this case and upholds the suspension based on the evidence

agreed. if Zeke accepts 2 games, to me that says he did something. maybe not to the extremes that TT is accusing, but there is something there

I think it gets reduced to two games and Zeke lets it die. No way Henderson reduces it to 0 games. That in itself makes Goodell and the NFL look like idiots and Henderson is not going to do that to them.

I think JJ stays quiet if it's two games similiar to how he did when the Cowboys/Commanders got fined. To much behind the scenes, good ole boy stuff goes on, that we never hear about. JJ will only ruffle so many feathers.
