Win the battle and lose the war. Goodell knows that the gold digger, as an accuser, is optically flawed but he has to show that he is tough on domestic violence and this is not going to the courts. He goes thru this long process to convince people that he has the goods on Zeke, including expert advice from the Women of Color, slaps Zeke with a six game suspension, and thinks that it"s over. However, wait a minute, Sparky, it ain't over til Zeke, the Players Union, and a bunch of lawyers, that make Sharknado look like Nemo, say that it is over. Goodell and a gold digger accuser screaming abuse vs Zeke, who could make the case that she is a blackmailing gold digging opportunist, who is trying, with Goodell's help, to get a nice payday and a little payback from Zeke. I don't think that Zeke settles for a reduced suspension. I think that this one is going to the courts and the NFL gets a lot of bad press, in backing, what could be nothing more than an extortion scheme. it's on.

LOL gen.Cornwallis? :lmao:
The head cheese British commander to sign terms and surrender his sword at Yorktown,,, Cornwallis?
That's Hilarious, I'd pulled Marine Corp color guard detail in a 4th of July parade in that burg in 1980
(I think that was the year)
:lmao::lmao2::lmao:

What is interesting is that the rebels generally lost most of the battles in the War but the British no longer had the will to fight. Once the French joined in, the end was near for the British and the loyalists.

That was always Washington's plan. Just keep the war going and sooner or later the Brits would make a 'business decision' and quit.

The North Vietnamese used that same plan with us and it worked.

It all started with the
" Whiskey Rebellion" and the money grubbing piece of that action the "crown" wanted in on,,, nice to see how that plan panned out for 'em,,,o_O

Which this country is STILL trying to learn how to counter.
Not that I'm going there...

There is only one full proof counter: Wipe out every man, woman, and child. The British certainly weren't going to do that. We aren't going to do that. Even the Israelites were highly reticent to do That.

No argument, but simply because I don't want to derail this thread.

Irony is that the Stamp Act and tea tax were put on to help pay for the French and Indian aka Seven Years' War but it ultimately led to a rebellion. Then the second irony is that France joined the war in 1778 I believe to stick to the UK but it ultimately bankrupted France and led to the beheading of Louis XVI

That's what has to happen. I doubt his suspension will be overturned because Goodell can do whatever he wants but Zeke has got to prove his innocence to the public and show what the NFL is really all about.
