Henderson is probably playing solitaire on his computer the whole time.
doesn't sound like rubber stamp to me
I think his defense team knows the suspension won't be rescinded, which is what they really want. They don't just want a reduction, so they are likely laying the ground work that will give them a better edge in the court system. Not that it will work of course, but the best strategy would be the long play, not the short play, since the chance of Henderson completely rescinding a 6-game suspension is really low if not non-existent.Poor Zeke. He actually thinks he has a chance with this.
This is like appealing a decision from Hitler via a hearing with Goebbels.
or hopefully the NFL/Goodell realizes it's about to get realIf you're smart, you give the impression you're not rubber stamping while you are actually doing exactly that
or hopefully the NFL realizes it's about to get real
any scenario at this point is plausible and I could easily say the league is portraying an image they're taking this situation ultra seriously and exerted the ultimate punishment under their authority. Players have rights too, Zeke saw it through and made a compelling countering case. Sound good? Plot thickens.....lolKnowing their track record it is extremely doubtful
The NFL had already put the hammer down by giving him a 6 game suspension. If they really wanted to consider over turning it, all they had to do was to appoint an independent arbitrator who would have over turned on lack of evidence . The NFL could have come out looking strong against DV while Zeke would have been absolved
The fact that they appointed Henderson tells me this is a rubber stamp because he is their guy and if he over turns it, it hangs around the neck of the NFL
This might be a silly question, but how can you testify under oath to a body that doesn't have subpoena power?

I think we are going to have a big trial over this whole thing.Ezekiel Elliott's suspension appeal hearing in New York will stretch into a second day, a source informed of the situation told NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport on Tuesday.
After lasting nearly 10 hours on Tuesday, Day 2 of the appeal hearing will resume on Wednesday and possibly a Day 3 on Thursday, Rapoport reported on NFL Total Access. The Dallas Cowboys running back is attending the appeal, which is being heard by arbitrator Harold Henderson. Elliott is scheduled to testify under oath at the hearing, Rapoport reported.
The NFL suspended Elliott six games on Aug. 11 for violating the league's personal conduct policy. The ruling came after the NFL's year-long investigation into domestic violence accusations made against him by Tiffany Thompson, who identified herself as his former girlfriend to authorities.
Elliott, 22, has denied the allegations. He was never charged or arrested.
If Elliott's full suspension is upheld on appeal, he would be barred from taking part in any team activities starting on Sept. 2. He wouldn't be eligible to play until the team's Week 8 contest against the Washington Commanders on Oct. 29.

Yeah, becuase he made all the difference last year. Thankfully he was playing, we would never have beat them both time without him.Mara figures let's keep him at the meetings so he doesn't hit the practice field. That way he won't be game ready when he plays us.
