Each of them put a system in place and maintained it for how many years but you claim they were bums all the time?

I'm old enough to remember Belichick's Browns teams in the 1990's. They had a good defense because that's his specialty but they were never consistent winners. That's why he got fired there.

And I don't think it's coincidence that the Patriots are what now, 29-37 since Brady left. Not saying it's all on Belichick but it's possible Brady carried him and the game has passed him by.

I hate to say it but the game passed Landry by. He was running the Flex defense he designed in the early 1960's into the late 1980's. He was a football genius, but he was the last to see his schemes were outdated and the NFL caught up to him.

We might be seeing the same with Belichick.

Now I can agree there; BB might just be burned out. Though to be fair to Landy with that idiot Bum Bright as the owner he cut budgets for both the staff and scouting.
The Flex was a very difficult defense to learn and get players for. It might have been dated certainly but it was critical to get exactly the right player for each position

I would rather see cowboys moved to NFC south. I always wondered why we the divisions are geographically based. It would make more rivalries and it would cut down on travel time 8 games a year.

I know the die hards would never entertain it. Losing the 3 rivals we have so much history with but I think it would be better for the game.
